Before you get happy with the end results, it would be best to clear cache ==> clear data ==> uninstall FKM ==> reboot device ==> reinstall FKM ==> reflash said kernel to avoid any potential random reboots and remove any remaining unforeseeable residuals from FKM and/or any other kernels.
Nothing apart to follow flash instructions written in op is needed to update.

Literally none of this is necessary

Hi guys. Should I use configuration file for kernel? Is really great without it. I mean is much better than early. My sot was 7 hours. Now wit this kernel I have 8 hours without any specific configuration. Will be better wit this config file?

Has anyone updated to the latest oos, and flashed v2.2.2 using exkm?
I did but I had installed magisk followed by the kernel trying to avoid a second reboot. Idk if it was not rebooting between installing magisk and installing the kernel or if it's an incompatibility, but in my case I ended up having to factory wipe on both slots to get my phone to boot again. I'm sorry to hear that, but usually you have to install magisk after OTA, reboot, then install kernel, reboot

[ RADIOACTIVE KERNEL INSTALL ]

DOWNLOAD KERNELS HERE

First of all download the correct kernel zip for your rom (Use CUSTOM labeled for custom roms only)
Make sure that if you coming from another custom kernel it don't modify any system files or dtb/dtbo, if it does you MUST reflash your rom before flashing this kernel, same goes if you want to roll back from here to your previous kernel

Instructions using twrp:
* Boot into Recovery
* (Recommended) Make a backup of boot, system and data partitions
* Flash Kernel Zip
* Reboot system
* (Optional) Install your preferred kernel tweaker app(EX kernel manager or Franco Kernel Managerer recomended)
* Enjoy!!!

Instructions using Ex kernel manager or any other app with autoflash support:
* Flash Kernel Zip
* Reboot
* Enjoy!!!

Instructions using Franco Kernel Manager:
* Import configuration file link in flasher tab
* Tap flash button and let the app do his magic
* Enjoy!!!

I constantly am facing stutters and jitters ever since I ported from OOS 11.0.4.4 to Pixel experience and now I'm using Evolution latest build on Oneplus 8. I also am facing a problem (which could be connected/partition related), whenever I try to Boot TWRP by mauronofrio I get crashdump mode error. Tried installing 11.0 through Fastboot factory which doesn't boot or gets into bootloop. I've done multiple factory resets but still same. I'm facing lags even while playing videos on YouTube even.

I've tried Neutrino, Hasty and now I'm on Radioactive kernel using the custom rom script as recommended.

Any help whomever understands my issue would be of great help.

Thanks in advance!

It should. I'm on kb2003 with 11.0.8.14 and it works fine

It booted for me but USB file transfer didn't work. Going back to the included kernel (rooted with Magisk) in 11.0.8.13, it started working again.

edit: for some reason it just took a few minutes to recognize after plugging in cable. Now it recognizes instantly. Krernel working fine, thanks!

Hmm
Looks like that ra222 has some issues with fod from new oos 11.0.8.14
Kernel panic
The small cpu never go down under 400 even we force 300. In background the small cpu keep 6 to 10%
Going back to stock kernel no more kernel panic
I use 8t with oos 110814 europe

So it's only causing a problem when you under lock? Or is there some other issue that I didn't understand? I'm on the same device, same firmware, but I don't underclock

No undercocking
The small cpu speed start from 300 to 1800.
When you don't launch app or don' t touch the screen, in normal situation the small cpu will go down to 300 and stay at this speed.
But the cpu go down to only 400 and stay like this with 3 to 5% cpu using.
I check background apps, but nothing, I launch su-c top command also nothing.
This happened after each reboot. For one to 3 hours small cpu will stay at 300 but for any reason the cpu will lock at 400.
I flash back stock kernel and the issue is gone.
Maybe the ra222 is not compatible with oos 110814 🤔

Kernel is compatible and completely fine, your issues are user related, my bet is that your kernel tweaker app is acting weird for some reason and changing default values randomly.
On other side, default lower frequency isn't 300MHz but 691MHz and it shouldn't be changed fyi.

Default is 691, try clearing data on your kernel tweaker app. I have not had any issues whatsoever.

May I know why the lower frequency shouldn't be changed? I was thinking that the phone could consume less battery, while being stable enough. I'm just curious about the topic, because I don't know much about it

EDIT: and what about the maximum frequency? Thanks in advance! :)

It's pretty simple, Qualcomm engineers, which know more than me and i think more than everyone else, determined that 691MHz is the best lower frequency in terms of battery life and still have a smooth experience, so lower it it's not a good idea.
For the higher ones it's the same, you can use lower freqs but you'll face lag and you will not save so much battery cuz with lower freqs the device spend more time on completing tasks leading to more battery drain.

My advice is to trust caf and don't try to be smarter than a BIG company like Qualcomm.

You mentioned to trust CAF - is this kernel CAF based?

    How about just to read the op and follow flash instructions?

    Does this kernel work on OOS 11.0.7.7 on a non-pro OnePlus 8? I don't want to update the OS without this kernel.
    Yes

    Hi folks, long time no update but i think it worth the wait, fixed Wi-Fi issues on particular devices, removed undesired commits and cleaned up the source, merged latest oneplus source, added gpu oc up to 900 and overall improved stability, hope you enjoy it.
    Those using fkm update engine must re add the new configuration link in order to see the next update.

    Like always download link and detailed changelog in op.

    Enjoy!!!!!
