I think that you're confused about what CAF based means.
CAF = Qualcomm. We have a Qualcomm soc, isn't it?
Oneplus made his kernel on top of CAF sources, of course, like any other company with snapdragon chips, so yes, this and every other kernel for oneplus 8 series have a CAF base.
Actually CAF stands for Code Aurora Forum

Yes you can flash it and the link you posted it's working flawesly, it's not to download anything but for copy and paste it into fkm.

    And one more think. 90% of this testers is on stock so how they tested it for custom. I know this is not him job. But when he upload something he should test it early. Is not possible to test it in 100% if he don't have testers on custom. You can see, this is not just one device. Many devices have this problem. So my question is, where are him testers and what they test? Because I think not this kernel. Everything was good before 2.2.5. This is simply. Something is different in kernel now. One More thin early version was much better. In this release I can't set freq what I need so yes. Is time to change kernel because this guy is like Apple. Take this what I give, if no is no my problems. I don't like Dev like him. Always problem is in different things. Never in him job.

    You sound very entitled. Also, you think you know better than the DEV.
    Stop messing with the frequencies, kernel managers and Konabess and you won't have any crashdumps. You absolutely don't know what you are doing, and your hyperinflated ego makes things even worse.
    Well i havent mess up any freq, kernel managers konabess nor any other appz nor modules which could mess up things and causing crashdump, still i have it in crdroid 7.8. I have clean system and always flash kernel back to roms stock before flashing another custom..still latest ra gives crashdump..
    Brother, it's written all over the CRdroid chat that the 7.8 build has been having crashdump and "black screen" issues. It appears that build has been pulled by the maintainer because the build has issues. Perhaps they an older build of the ROM, or a different one to confirm that it's not a ROM issue? Just trying to help narrow down the problem
    I thought problem was only in crdroid latest build kernel not system.. Dev said that when flashed earlier build kernel, crashdump is fixed. Havent tested crd earlier kernel, im in neutrino atm as it seem to be stable as rock with crd 7.8.
    It might be fixed I'm not sure. I was just reading their chat trying to see if I could learn anything that would help and I saw a several people mention that they were getting crashdumps and only one that I saw was using Radioactive. The other were on the stock kernel, and several users mentioned that the build had problem's and was pulled. I'm not blaming the ROM, I'm simply trying to help investigate the issue. I don't run CR so I'm not sure. I know it's a good ROM, so if it is an issue I'm it will get fixed IF that's the issue

    New build is up!!

    Download link and detailed changelog in op.

    I did it. He delete message without answer.
    Use propper way to ask me, that's why we have this wonderful forum, telegram is for personal use and i can't reply hundreds of questions every day with questions that are already answered here or can be easily answered with a simple Google search.

    Answering your question, i removed the less efficient frequencies and those that never should be used like lower than 691,that's already discussed here and answered by me.
    Hi. I can report one big problem. After flashing ra kernel some users have crush dump. Me too. But just after reboot. When I turn off the phone and turn on is okay. I use Franco to flash but I know users who used ex kernel and there is same problem.
    First of all you must give propper information about what rom and modules are you using, i can't know what everyone's using.
    There's a lot of roms doing different things on their device trees and using different vendors, i simply can't support every single rom out there, my builds are heavily tested before make them public and any of my custom rom testers had a single problem with the latest build so that makes your rom incompatible, probably cuz it's not using what the majority of the roms are using in his trees.
    OK, this is the third message I left on this thread, today. Hopefully this will be my last...

    First, as I mentioned early, developers do not owe anyone anything, nor offer a paid service to solve every question users post. Developers have 100% control of his/her own project and what's on the to-do list.

    My second point is that, of course, when we use something (free) from internet, we are expecting it to work flawlessly and everything is just fine, but that is not always true. If you want to help the development, work with developers in a contributing way to provide catlog or anything for debug use. Simply post "Hi, I have problem A, can you solve it asap?" would not help at all. Imagine that your boss is paying your salary and asking you to do something but without giving you any clue, what is your feel? That feel exists when your boss is paying you, now imagine if someone did not pay and ask you the same question. I guess everyone would come up with some bad words eventually...

    Last, I came across this wonderful post the other day on internet and I believe if everyone could give it a read, we could solve 99% problems on earth and achieve world peace. :)

    Above is my final words on this thread and topic (hopefully). I will delete any off topic posts going forward without explaining further. Enough is enough. :D

    This Kernel is insane!
    I've been using this for a week now and I'm getting consistently great battery life, even after heavy usage.
    Thanks @acuicultor for the great work!

    For Android 11 only

    /* *** Disclaimer
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war,
    * or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research
    * if you have any concerns about features included in this KERNEL
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    hi XDA community, i'm here to share with you my little project, my primary goal is to provide a stable and fast kernel without compromising battery life plus some cool features that i find useful for the day to day usage.

    Current Features
    General List:

    Compiled with self compiled custom clang 13 Toolchain with LLD
    Packed with Anykernel3 with ability to preserve magisk
    Works on OP8, OP8Pro and OP8T
    Support for FKM OTA kernel updates thanks to franciscofranco
    Boeffla's wakelock blocker
    Adrenoboost Driver
    BBR TCP set default
    Kcal Control: Colors, Saturation, Hue, Contrast and more
    Backlight min value configurable
    Enabled power efficient workingqueues
    Dynamic Fsync support
    GPU Overclock up to 900mhz
    Usb fast charge mode
    exfat fs support
    WIREGUARD support
    Removed a lot of debugging to gain performance
    Other stuff that is boring to write, take a look HERE for detailed information
    And much more to come....

    First of all download the correct kernel zip for your rom (Use CUSTOM labeled for custom roms only)
    Make sure that if you coming from another custom kernel it don't modify any system files or dtb/dtbo, if it does you MUST reflash your rom before flashing this kernel, same goes if you want to roll back from here to your previous kernel

    Instructions using twrp:
    * Boot into Recovery
    * (Recommended) Make a backup of boot, system and data partitions
    * Flash Kernel Zip
    * Reboot system
    * (Optional) Install your preferred kernel tweaker app(EX kernel manager or Franco Kernel Managerer recomended)
    * Enjoy!!!

    Instructions using Ex kernel manager or any other app with autoflash support:
    * Flash Kernel Zip
    * Reboot
    * Enjoy!!!

    Instructions using Franco Kernel Manager:
    * Import configuration file link in flasher tab
    * Tap flash button and let the app do his magic
    * Enjoy!!!

    Thanks and Credits to developers:

    Of course, I had never been able to create all that by my own. So I want to give credits to the really good developers around, that have given me all the inspiration and from which I cherry picked lots of the implemented functionalities:

    * Ordenkrieger
