You can't update from Sony anyway anymore with unlocked BL so why don't you just delete ota and update center apks?I have a problem in lupus kernel when I installed this on a stock rom ics base .587
why my phone asking for updates to .587 with the 0.1 MB in notification update center?![]()
Sorry to ask it here, I know this is not of your business but I want to understand what's going on...
Other kernels have sometimes a 100% bat problem, as if battery was 100% charged always. Flashing Lupus has always been an answer to this issue. I always use "light" kernels cause I 'm no gamer at all, maybe they erased something you didn't ?
Also when I have this issue (let's say on ctcaer) , I flash yours, then I try to go back to Ctcaer one, wifi is broken. (even if I flash stock wifi driver ) Is there something I should erase by myself that stays ?
I know it may be none of your business. At least I must say: your kernel is saving my ray each time I mess with wifi or my battery ! And it's not only your ICS kernel I'm talking about. Your kernels always worked flawlessly !
Last but not least, how can I tweak Lupus to make it more battery friendly ?
Previous modules are in /system/modules.oldI think wedgess puts the original wifi modules in a backup folder. Should be mentioned someplace here in the thread. Look in the \system\lib\modules area.
Thanks a lot. Found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35558542&postcount=2Previous modules are in /system/modules.old
For battery use smartassV2 or smartassH3 with min freq 134MHz and search xda for UnderVolt values for your phone...
I guess this is the "tripple buffering" in CTCaer - and the reason why I stay with that. CTCaer is based on Lupus Kernel anyway - so somehow best of both worlds - especially since that latest 2.8.2. now finally also has UKSM (which lupus has from CTCaer).Found a strange issue / bug (?) in the latest v8.
With some ICS based ROMs on this kernel the listings' scrolling (say in telephone book, Settings, etc.) is not smooth, but somehow jerky.
Same ROMs say on CTCaer kernel 2.8 are smooth.
Any ideas for fixing it?
