You don't have these wakelocks with the exact same setup with other kernels?Using BBS to detect wakelock saw qcom_rx_wakelock and tp_syna constantly running background with render kernal. Posted log just in case, any suggestions would appreciate thanks.
I have the exact same issue, especially tp_syna is constantly on. I am om Smurf btw.You don't have these wakelocks with the exact same setup with other kernels?
EX kernel does, so it's possible this one doesDoes this kernel supports F2FS filesystem?
I wouldnt try as I have not looked into supporting it yet. When I finish with the EAS bringup, I will be taking a look.Does this kernel supports F2FS filesystem?
Great job man. Will there be a new release soon (sorry about ETA)? Love your kernel btw.I wouldnt try as I have not looked into supporting it yet. When I finish with the EAS bringup, I will be taking a look.
On that note, I have been continuing to make great gains. I have now based upon upstream android-linux. I have been able to further tweak and adjust EAS related changes that have a huge impact on task placement /load balance. GPU Profiling has been made to be much more consistent and smooth. Really happy with the current setup and I am sure you guys will be as well.
Soonish, sure. I had made some other major changes that I need to vet first. Removed all OP changes with regards to memory management. Still not sure if it was a good thing. Redid lowmemorykiller to be less aggressive. Tons of other changes. This new build is effectively a completely new kernel.Great job man. Will there be a new release soon (sorry about ETA)? Was using your kernel on oos 9.0.3 and it was fantastic best kernel so far! Just recently switched to treskmod omni so I'm hoping the next version will also work on it!Soonish, sure. I am not sure if that helps, but I had a battery life issue back in the day on my OP5 and it turned out it was because I didn't update the Google App to the latest version via the Play Store.Using BBS to detect wakelock saw qcom_rx_wakelock and tp_syna constantly running background with render kernal. Cheers mate! :highfive:Welcome my friend!
Obligatory question.. Is this only for oos or custom ROMs too?Things to note:
* New upstreamed base (4.9.150)
* Further EAS tuning (much smoother gpu profiling)
* Better load balancing / Task Placement
* USB Fast Charge added per request
* Optimized log spam
* Updated Binder
* Updated Schedutil Governor

OOS right now. But since I am happy with the current base, I will be working on a custom version. I have had help from a few good friends so this should move along quickly. Apparently I can use the oos kernel as the base. I have also started prepping for the custom release. There are a large number of oos changes that don't apply to custom roms. I had removed these changes.Obligatory question.. Is this only for oos or custom ROMs too?
It should work, but as previously mentioned, stable is way better and recommended version to run.Does 1.1 work with the open betas or is still better on stable?
Thanks for the update and your work! Does this have the improved multitasking you mentioned? I've had a horrible time of late with OOS 9.0.3, with 1.0.0 of your kernel or stock kernel. OP have really messed up that.Things to note:
