Rz-op6-oos-p-eas-v1.3.0

Hey guys!

It's HERE! lol

Lets just jump right into it.

Things to note:
Magisk is NO LONGER required to apply RZ scripting. We have gone to a new method that uses /vendor. This allows me to adjust tuning and their timing in the boot process. For more detail on how I did it:

EAS-Project/[email protected]

The changes made to /vendor will stick after reboot so if you are wanting to flash another kernel or such, you can either flash RZ-OP6-CLEANUP.zip or reflash the rom.

Upstreamed to 4.9.176
Load balancing optimizations to prevent big tasks from being pulled to small cores
Disabled TTWU_QUEUE
and much more!

Great work ! ! ! In addition if we want to revert to stock kernel we can just flash the backup boot from TWRP recovery,is that right ?

Unfortunately not. RZ makes changes to /vendor that survive reboots so they will either need to be undon via our cleanup zip (included with kernel and inside kernel zip) or by reflashing oos.

Reflashing oos is the easiest way to do so but it is for when we start supporting custom roms that don't ship with their own /vendor, the cleanup zip would be the easiest choice.

Esta muy buen!

Just flashed the latest update. I noticed I still had to re-flash magisk in order to get my phone to boot. Is that still a thing?
Weird. Mine kept booting back to recovery when I was choosing system.
Never had that issue before. Magisk is not required to boot nor is it removed by flashing RZ. You coming from a clean ramdisk/rom? If not, maybe there is something left over from another kernel?

Your kernel is the only one I've ever flashed on this phone, so there's not any remnants from another custom one. I used to run open beta some time ago and switched back to stable (several months ago).
