If you follow the exact steps listed in the first post it should be pretty safeI've had the phone for about 2 years now, and I just recently started running into serious space issues. I have a 64gb card, but the amount of data the "move to sd" button moves is laughable. I'm looking to root, which I see in this thread, but I have not manually rooted anything yet. I understand the principles behind it (have some experience with programming/coding), but I'm so nervous I'm going to brick my phone!! On the other side, I don't want to use some program like kingroot because I don't really trust it. How idiot proof is the rooting process here? lol...
At worst you should still be able to restore a stock rom easily .
