It's already based on latest Oxygen 2.1 since last release. Will we see a 2.1.1 compatible version soon or should I just put off on updating for now.
It's hardware.Hey can you tell me if this kernel can add support for Quick charge or is it Hard Ware that does this!?
So how come Santosh M include USB Fast Charging support in this kernel ?It's hardware.
Quick Charge and Fast USB charging are not the same thing. So how come Santosh M include USB Fast Charging support in this kernel ?
This i can't really help out. I can't comment from my experience since i don't own the phone, but i have 2-3 testers whom i test with and some comments in thread where they have felt 30% improvement in charging time. Still i will research more on this with people who own to give a clear picture.Hello,
It took me a while to get through testing for the Sandy kernel cuz the battery life is sooooo much better than stock for me that I only charge my phone every 24 hours now. Maybe this weekend I will see how long I can push it past 24 hours.
However I have found that the Sandy charge control does nothing for me. I did this multiple times to check, always using the stock cable and two different chargers, one stock and one not.
At first I tried increasing the setting but didn't notice any difference. That is what led to my first series of questions earlier in this thread. Well just in case the original charger and my own charger (which is rated to output 2.4A) could not supply enough current I didn't want to be unfair. So to address this, I decreased the setting all the way down to 100ma instead. This way the limit of the charger will not be an issue but what shod happen is that the charging process should slow down or the ma number should be lower.
Well as you can see below it makes no difference. Maybe I have the kernel installed incorrectly, etc.... I am not an expert. But my conclusion for now is the charge control did nothing to change my charging.

BTW incase you are wondering with the charge control set to 2000 (or max) it took me 2h 20mins to go from 1% to 100%. Which is roughly the same as stock. Check it out!

Haha, nice to hearJust wanted to say this kernel is just awesome, and write about how it saved my life . I work at a dealership and we had a dealer trade yesterday where I went from mississauga to Newmarket for the other car, and I only had 10% battery left, somehow with GPS on (since I didn't know how to get to the dealership) it got me there and back in about 3 and a half hours. Best thing is that I still had about 4% left when I got home later in the day. Keep up the good workgood work!!!!!!!
Really nice. Hope you haven't compromised on performance to get a good backupHi All, here the test with elementalx (big and little)
SOT: 12hours 30 mins...
See attached more details.
I have same configuration as I already show before, the only difference is it is switched from interactive to elementalx governors.
There is a little (very little) difference between battery life in comparison with interactive governor and big gap in terms of performance 60k antutu (interactive) 50k antutu (elementalx) so still not sure what governor to keep....
Good luck to everyone!

I said USB FAST Charging not USB Charging!Quick Charge and Fast USB charging are not the same thing.
It's practically the same, when compared to Qualcomm's Quick Charge.I said USB FAST Charging not USB Charging!
There is a post in this thread how to fix washed out colours. Guess that should help youMy screen becomes washed out after the screen turns off the fist time. (i.e. Phone boots with proper screen color..after the first time screen locks, the colors are washed out)
