So I'm seeing worse battery life on stock/rooted rom than without Sandy. Loss of 10% overnight. I just booted Sandy without any changes. Any suggestions? Have seen some suggestions for changing display stuff and that's interesting, but main issue is battery life.

The whole OPT experience is pretty mediocre so far for me:
  • Not a gamer so don't care so much about performance
  • Battery life v. disappointing
  • Agree with the washed-out-ness observations
  • Takes foreva to boot. (added)
OTOH, the OPT camera experience is vastly better than on the OPO. The one thing so far keeping me from selling this thing for now.
you can fix the washed out colors by using Kernel Adiutor on this Kernel.

Reduce brightness value to 124, keep contrast at 128. This changes the gamma to 2.2 instead of 2.1. Increase saturations by 5. THis makes intermediary color saturations a bit more vivid.

I have calibrated with spectroradiometer and those settings should provide good colors for everyone. In terms of color temperature you can make it more netral by reducing green by 6 and blue by 15.

Don't forget to thank me. :)

Anyone have a good screen color configuration? It looks washed out and bright compared to my OPO.
Yes, see my post above.

Hello Brightness & contrast values don't stick in kernel auditor. Also screen colours setting you provided makes the screen yellowish just like amoled screen with basic mode.I prefer more of white screen but that's my choice.
Also a request to developer(if its possible) to make a kernel similar to stock with kcal support.
Thanks in Advance

They stay on for me. You wouldn't be offered to change the values if kcal wasn't supported. Just tick the option "apply on boot".

The greyscale settings on blue and green are optional. As I said "if you want more neutral colors".

I am happy with the phone otherwise. The only thing I am looking for is battery life. Does it seriously alter battery life? If yes by how much and what settings should I opt for?>

Great kernel, been as good as stable for me so far!
I've got a request though. Would it be possible to include a mono downmix feature as seen in Boeffla's sound control? My brother is half deaf and would like to have a feature to downmix stereo to mono so he can fully enjoy any sound he plays on his device.

However users can request a feature and if i find it worthy i would test it and add.
Please add Fauxsound support, it is absolutely must have for all supported devices (WCD9330 audio chip is supported)
Edit: sorry, I just read your post on this page.

Hallo, I'm on Temasek /m3dd0g ROM, wanted to try this kernel, but I can't activate WiFi with this?
Has anyone else this issue?

Does it still happen even after you reverted? I had this problem persist and I had to reformat boot and system positions recursively in twrp settings. Flashed the kernel again and WiFi worked.

Sorry, could you please explain, how the settings to make in twrp? I am not a professional man ?

First did you made a backup of your rom before this all happened? The Sandy kernel flash zip contains libs that flash onto your rom and sometimes it breaks WiFi when either switching kernels or restoring system without recursive format. To turn that on, boot into twrp, go to settings and check format rm -fr mode. If you never made a backup of system, you need to get a copy of your rom to flash it again. You'll only need to wipe system with advance wipe with recursive on.

Is it possible this kernel isnt meant for the newest revision?

my OPT came with 2.0.3 and I rooted it then installed this kernel... after that my home button hasnt worked at all since...

I stupidly forgot to nandroid..

Im guessing there's gotta be some new files or missing files that 2.0.3 had and my phone is now missing?

I flashed stock and everything ... my home button hasnt worked since.

2.0.3 isn't out as OTA yet and you're only the second one I've seen with this version so far. It's pretty likely that this isn't optimized for 2.0.3 yet.
