it's not unfortunately
That is exactly what I was getting. From my recollection I also did a clean flash. Maybe I hadn't just restored and that's the problem. Will give it another shot in meta futureI just spent the entire morning checking this out and ElementalX is charging at the same rate as the stock kernel. I built another kernel with the battery drivers built-in, which is the solution to this supposed problem, and the charge current was capped at 0.5 amps, which is slow. If this is what you are seeing, there is something wrong with your installation. Perhaps the battery modules were deleted or changed.
Tested using ElementalX 4.09 on a clean flash of the December 2020 system image.
There is no problem with charging speed.
With root you can flash with EX Kernel Manager, otherwise you need to use TWRP. I recommend fastboot boot TWRP, no need to install it.Do I need to root my pixel 2 xl first and then install the elemental ex apk using magisk or I can just directly download the elemental apk and install the kernel?
4.10 only boot for some ROMs (tried on Fluid & PixelDust)I think you missed the fact the latest, 4.10, bootloops the device?
Leaving with you having to go all the way back to 4.07
Surely having the choice to flash 4.09 is useful?
Especially if youre trying to provide feedback for troubleshooting.
I would think it would be easier for you, if 4.09 was found to be working, to track the changes between 4.09 and 4.10 than 4.07 and 4.10, no?
