thanks for your reply. it can run, can search data, but cannot modify them. somebody says that it is a failure of running ptrace call command, which is caused by a broken kernel.

I'll look into seeing what I can find about that and if there is any way of fixing it. Not sure though.

Dear Wirmpolter: would you please kindly add the UMS (USB mass storage) function into this kernel?
That is after connect the phone to computer by data cable, the computer can identfy the SD card inside the phone as a removable flash disk, not MTP mode.

Our devices have 4gig of RAM, so don't really need zram which is why zram has been removed previously. However can put it back with the custom option to see if it makes any difference.

Unfortunately the KCAL color control will not work on our devices. Would be nice though to have something like it.

OK, thank you in advance. For your reference, following link is the software to turn of the UMS function:

But the pre-condition is that it needs Mass Storage Gadget file gadget driver and FUSE drive in the kernel.
So it is needs to extract the Mass Storage Gadget file gadget driver and FUSE drive from other rom like
Huawei P9plus in following link (which support these 2 drivers), then insert these driver into the kernel of mate 9.

I'm not 100% sure if after you unlock your bootloader to flash the kernel and then relock it again after flashing stock kernel if warranty will still be good. I don't think so.

I'm currently using HyperPlus kernel, can I flash it directly or hv to go back stock kernel first ? does this your version will set selinux to permissive ?

It is best to flash the stock kernel first and then mine after since you're coming from HyperPlus.

It doesn't at the moment... But I can add that feature to be set as permissive but show enforcing like hyperplus.
