I tryed everything out there..nothing beats Darky 9.5 based on froyo js8 and speedmod kernel and fugu tweaks, has call recording, fully working wiffi and ad-hoc, its smooth enough and fast enough, most stable and bug free ever.

On the browser part: you haven't seen ics browser yet?
IMO its much quicker on ics (android 4.0), but its also long ago I seen stock gb browser

Hello Guys,

I have a huge problem.

I wanted to flash my sisters Galaxy S. I rooted the device succesfully with Z4 Root.

The Second part was to install CWR using ODIN. I followed the instuctions. But the problem is now its stuck on the bootscreen.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I am abel to come into Download modes.

Installed rom was Stock Froyo 2.2

1. don't root with Z4
2. don't install CWM Recovery

Just flash this kernel with Odin3 on your Froyo (download the .tar file) and be done with it. Everything is already included (root, cwm,...)

is there an way to use ODIN to install a new kernel or a Rom?

When i now try to install any kernel via ODIn, the phone won''t boot. (it stops right at the bootscreen/logo from Samsung)

that was not so smart

flash stock Froyo again with Odin3 with pit 512 and check repartition
after that flash this kernel in Odin3 and be done with it

possible you are impossible

you want Froyo right? You want to use this kernel right? (JVT is Gingerbread btw...)

download this (latest drivers) and install it (reboot your PC)
download this (latest froyo) and extract it (Password is samfirmware.com)
download this (best froyo kernel)

open Odin3, put the files in the right place (think logical), make sure repartition is checked (next to auto reboot and f. reset time), put phone in download mode, connect your phone true micro USB, press start. Shut down the phone after 1st boot, press reset in Odin3, put kernel in "PDA" in Odin3, uncheck f. reset time, no partition this time and no pit! put phone in download mode, connect your phone true micro USB, press start, Done!

next time use the search function mate (and google), there are plenty of guides here @xda

CWM Recovery is already inside this kernel (your device will also be automatically rooted...).

So basically all you needed to do is flashing this kernel with Odin3 and you where fine. Good you ****ed up, that's how you will learn best

Thanks but the ROm you gave me doenst included a .csc file. When i extracted the file it only gives a NEE.TAR file.
