Hello Guys,
I have a huge problem.
I wanted to flash my sisters Galaxy S. I rooted the device succesfully with Z4 Root.
The Second part was to install CWR using ODIN. I followed the instuctions. But the problem is now its stuck on the bootscreen.
Does anyone know what the problem is? I am abel to come into Download modes.
Installed rom was Stock Froyo 2.2
I tried different speedmod kernels but they all stop at the bootop screen.
Ok thanks but the problem is that i already installed CWM and rooted the device.
is there an way to use ODIN to install a new kernel or a Rom?
When i now try to install any kernel via ODIn, the phone won''t boot. (it stops right at the bootscreen/logo from Samsung)
Oke thanks..
Were can i find the files that i need? or a tuturial to flash a Froyo rom using ODIN?
Sorry for the noob question but im verry confused right now..
Have done many roots with HTC but i though it would be easier
Edit: I found the following files:
s1_odin_20100512.pit
and the newest rom: I9000XXJVT_I9000OXAJVT_XEU.7z.
Are these correct?
Well the first thing i wanted to do was to is the install Clockwork Recovery so i can install a Custom roms..
But as you can see i ****ed up. Now i want to reflash the files again so i can start from the beginning.
Thanks for youre time. ill try to the instructions above to see if the phone will work again![]()
Thanks but the ROm you gave me doenst included a .csc file. When i extracted the file it only gives a NEE.TAR file.
Its not the ROM or modem. I think its the new Wifi firmware. I've started a thread to collect Wifi firmware versions. On 12A, the battery seems better - but only marginally so - i still see Wifi using 35% on a mostly idle phone. If I remember right, the previous usage used to be around 5% - definitely single digit. Something is still wrong with wifi with JPY ROM/Modem....
