think your bootloader is all messed up or something...

flash this (JVZ) the same way like first picture I posted (don't use this kernel anymore when u flash that, this kernel is for froyo only!)
then this the same way like second picture
then you are ready to flash any custom ROM you want

Nope because you are on Froyo and all custom ROMs are for Gingerbread. You need to have GB bootloader so you have to flash the above, then you're good to go

Nice kernel, although never used it . I come here to ask what happened with the sharpeness fix, tinyRCU and the adjusted kernel Hz value. Are they default in GB/ICS or were they just forgotten? We need all speed imorovements we can get, as our phone gets old, so I thought I'd grab this threat out .

I use all of them in Semaphore GB kernel, tinyRCU in Semaphore ICS kernel.

About the sharpness fix: I decided not to use any color fixes (sharpness or voodoo). Not for a specific reason. Just my personal taste.
About the HZ value: The truth is that I never tested a HZ=300 value. I think, I read that there are compatibility issues with different than 256 value. Maybe, I will tested.

And could you please try hatdcores comp flags? I remember they were very well chosen

I already use them.
Hardcore also used the 'placebo' O3 with Linaro.

I'm running SLIM ICS on my i9000, just wondering which of the downloads I need to download. I plan to flash via cwm, i'm just clueless as to which downlaod to flash, what do the letters after the k13 mean? and which one would i need?

You can't use it with an ICS ROM
It's only for Froyo
