looks like a internet speed issue. Changed modems recently?

Nope, haven't updated that since September when I upgraded to 4.0.4. Haven't experienced any recent slow speeds using other apps on hspa.

The problem is (as I have read...) that on various ROMs, the fix breaks camera compatibility because camera requires chmod 666
Also, I am surprised (and glad) that hardcore even released version 15... so if a better fix does come out, I don't think he would implement it...

Unfortunately, without implementing any future official fix, this kernel becomes insecure by default.
That's an absolutely rediculous statement. first off, you can easily use CF's fix on any kernel. Secondly, NO kernels for the n7000 have an embedded fix in sight.

How is it ridiculous - if you don't use a workaround the current Speedmod kernel's vulnerable by default - exactly what I said.

Samsung claim to be working on a fix/update too, so the choices may end up being:

1) Use existing Speedmod Kernels without the CF workaround and have the risk.
2) Use existing Speedmod Kernels with the CF workaround and have to remember to turn it off if it affects the camera.
3) Install future Samsung update - which might include a kernel-based fix so mean going back to (new) stock.
4) Speedmod kernel gets updated with Samsung-published updated code, if applicable.
5) Fix is not kernel-based, so we're all happy.

Which option would be nicest after #5?

Youre right its not ridiculous and I understand where you are coming from... I guess what o was trying to say is that until Samsung has an official fix...which who knows if that will ever happen, look at emmc secure erase issue... that Devs shouldn't be expected to put am intramfs fix that breaks other things...esp when the CF fix is currently the best solution.
I apologize if I offended you by saying your comment was rediculous

Hi Hardcore,
I flashed your fw 13.5, awesome job but i have a question.
You tweaked the mdnie settings and, in my case, i can see the difference in the gammatest png, i saw up to 3 instead 4.
sadly this not help to resolve the black clipping problem in videos...are you still working on this issue?
i think that a possible solution is to achieve a different result lowering the Max value that we can see...eg: up to 7-9 maybe with a custom gamma settings.
many thanks
