For those having random reboots or stutters, I managed to fix this by disabling Game Turbo implemented by Xiaomi. Since then everything works flawlessly without any reboots.
Latest version 3.1 works just perfect on 10.3.6 (xiaomi.eu)
Many thanks milouk!

Hmm, this never happened to me, I'm using security app version 3.4.2 download it from apk mirror, i use game turbo daily without any problems.

This is by far, the best kernel for MI 8. When it comes to battery management, it's indeed the best. It's just a flash and forget.
Flash Rom;
Flash Magisk;
Flash Kernel;
Fly away ?

Hi, can you please explain me what are the advantages of a custom kernel like this rather than the stock one? I've never installed a custom kernel before. Thank you.

Michael built this kernel for aosp mainly , added compatibitlity for miui android 9 version. Now miui has upgraded to android 10 in latest beta . As usual when miui upgrades android version problems occur. It is not Michael's fault.... Miui developers have to fix the problems.....

    Introduction
    Ahoy everyone,

    I decided to share my personal custom kernel with all of you. The main reason i started developing this kernel is to balance performance / battery / security and also add features.

    I believe i have included most of the usually requested features. If your feature is not included you can ask for it and i will try to include it as long as you don't ask for ETA's. I am a student and i do this on my spare time.

    Pie kernel is based on LineageOS 16.0 sources for dipper and is compiled
    with SdClang which is Qualcomm's LLVM Compiler for extra performance. [EOL] - Final Version is 3.1

    10
    kernel is based on LineageOS 17.1 source for dipper and is compiled

    Notes
      • I bear absolutely no responsibility. If you brick your device. If you are not sure what a kernel is, how to flash it or how to restore your phone in case something goes wrong then do NOT proceed.
        Moreover, you should flash this kernel only over the stock kernel that came with your Rom.
