Having a big battery drain while the screen is off. It takes about 30% overnight, even though the device is in deep sleep state. Anyone else having this problem?

I just want to ask you, grey liquid is the cooler liquid that you put on normal pc between CPU and heat sink?

you put it on S3 motherboard between CPU and LCD screen?

bye
Yes, it is.

Yes, I do, because the top of the SoC is oriented to the AMOLED display, so there's no other choice for me to apply the cooling liquid.

Hi guys,

I planned to port my kernel to Android 8, but this is not possible till now, because Android 8 isn't available for the Galaxy S3. As soon as there will be a working build of Android 8 for the S3, I'll try my best to port my kernel.
If anyone of you notices such a build, you may write a PM to me.

Hi,
I have just installed Lineage OS, GAPPs, and Magisk, and last Boeffla-kernel; Kernel is wonderful, I have only changed zram options.. I see a lot of improvement, Sorry to know support will end soon for S3

I want to ask about Magisk Hide function that doesn't work, I see magisk log: "proc monitor your kernel doesn't support mount userspace"

How I can check boeffla last stable kernel is 100% working? the notification icon Boeffla-config v2 is in the upper bar (I mean clock, battery...), and when I Open the app, I see for example swap space and zlib space are increased as I want, there is a method to check the mount of userspace?

thanks...

As for Magisk Hide function , you can use Koffee kernel that is based on boeffla as well and has mount userspace implemented into his kernel :)

When I find some time I will check this and probably provide a fixed kernel.

Koffee kernel?? I didn't know

Now I downloaded it, installed kernel with TWRP and also low-memory, rebooted...and... and.. all works! thanks a lot!

Do you know if the developer will suppoort it with next Lineage OS ROM?

I am glad i helped you! You can ask that in his thread i think :) (but for now he is using the latest base kernel for los 14.1 official, based on latest boeffla kernel ).

That's great news! We are waiting for that :D

I have checked the kernel log at /proc/kmsg and see always this:
c0 exynos4212_vpll_set_rate: Invalid Clock VPLL Frequency
Does somebody know what it is about?

MAC80211

Thanks for putting this kernel mod on github.
I know its probably OT but does anyone have kernel soruce patches for CONFIG_MAC80211=m to build correctly, getting past the
Make[1]: *** [scripts/Makefile.build:441: net/mac80211] Error 2 ?

Any recent release of github.com/Oebbler/elite-boeffla-kernel-lineage14.1-i9300 will do.

    Hi guys,

I want to present my kernel for the Samsung Galaxy S3, that allows you to overclock up to 2 GHz. This kernel is based on the official Boeffla kernel for CM14. Although the official Boeffla kernel supports CM14.0 and CM14.1, my kernel supports CM14.1 only, because CM14.0 for the SGS3 isn't supported by the CM team anymore. It may run on CM14.0 as well, but please don't report any errors if you use it with CM14.0 or any other OS than CM14.1.

    Feature list:
    - Every feature from official Boeffla-Kernel (6.1 final)
    - Support for Synapse (partial) and Boeffla Config (fully)
    - CPU overclocking up to 2 GHz
    - CPU: 100MHz step added to save power
    - Faster boot process due to some internal improvements
    - 3 new governors added (adaptive, conservative, interactive)
    - CPU voltage can be chosen between 600mV and 1600mV
    - full F2FS support (backported from Linux 3.19)
    - Charging current can be set up to 2.1 Amps
    - Battery percentage never reaches 0%, so the phone won't turn off at low battery
    - No overcharge anymore due to an internal improvement
    - Early suspend adjustable up to 5000ms
    - more undervolting profiles for the GPU
    - much lower brightness can be set than on stock kernel; the display will be almost black on lowest brightness level (maximum possible brightness stays the same)
    - Configurable kernel logger (turning kernel logger off is not stable on CM and LOS)
    - compiled using GCC 7.2.1 by Linaro (Thanks to ZaneZam for publishing the kernel-specific GCC-6-code; this works with GCC 7 as well!)

For configuration I recommend Boeffla Config.
You can use your old config you had using the official Boeffla-Kernel, but this may lead to minor problems. So I'd recommend to reset Boeffla Config before you flash my kernel. If you already use my kernel and just upgrading it you can use the old config without any problems.

WARNING!!! Nobody except you can and will be responsible for a damaged or bricked phone due to my kernel. It's very unlikely that my kernel harms your phone, but it's not impossible.

Have fun using my kernel and feel free to ask questions about it!

    @Oebbler1
Will you continue supporting S3 users on Oreo 8.0 ?
I wish that you continue working on our lovely boeffla kernel to support us on 8.0
That's will be great News if you do that :good:
    https://www.boeffla.de/index.php/89-lineageos-15-is-coming-game-over-for-4-phones-finally
I can't definetly say it, but I plan to do so, but please don't ask for ETA's or something else about this until my first build for Android 8.0 is out.

This may be one reason why most kernel devs don't support systems which are tweaked by Xposed.
Apart from that, I've finished the new version of my kernel.

    Hi guys,
due to a crash of the BIOS of my computer I won't be able to compile any new versions of my kernel until I have this issue fixed. Please be patient for the next update.
