You can, but you'll just get stuck at the lock screen. The kernel's latest version is designed for OneUI 2.0, but not yet updated for OneUI 2.5.
If you are running Dr. Ketan ROM it works with custom kernel fix from the aroma installer of the rom.

Sorry for asking but what is the latest stock rom compatable rom with this kernel?Really? That's great to read!
But for the rest who are using ROM's like Alexis and ALEXANDR (that is I), we're better off averting this outdated kernel.
Thank your great work! And so, we can hoping next version of this kernel, sir?
Does it really work with the latest Dr Ketan rom? It's sad to see the loss of an awesome kernel. It's now obsolete and incompatible with the latest OneUI 2.5 firmware (excluding Dr.Ketan ROM)![]()
Maybe try this rom for your SM-N960F, I struggled for ages to root my Note 9 from Android 10 and even though I was told stock was too up to date to root, yet a user FerretallicA provided the solution, the rom doesn't initially allow the google services framework and has no google play store or ui 2,2.5,3 but has substitutes, worth a look given its privacy and securityhi all
NOTE this is not a teaser, it may or may not happen
i have just started to take a look at this kernel and it looks like everything's working properly, except one claimed there are problems with the big cores' frequecy
i have contacted @freeza and he allowed me to make changes to the kernel and publish it if i want to (thanks again, freeza), and if my health conditions allow me to do so
so i will try to look at the above problem, and upgrade it to the latest one ui 2.5, and finally 3.x if possible. this is what i planned
however, funny enough, mine is still running stock pie and not yet rooted ()! so even i have compiled his R154 successfully i cannot test it myself. what's more is that, i will upgrade to the latest version instead of th4 employed by R154 first since it's my dd thus i could not affort to put in it dev status too often
tbh, i was retired since mm and it's Q now so there are tons of changes and it takes time to learn and study the changes as well as to get my knowledges back, especially true for the changes in the rom and system itself (remember i am still a mm guy)
also, i am still struggling with how to root my note9 n960f and tab s6 due to different steps available, and i cant afford to brick any of my devices. i understand that i can root it simply with magisk to patch the boot.img, but from what i learned that's not enough for a custom kernel like the vbmeta thing (for my tab s6 with snapdragon soc, not rooted too) etc. so i will need some more times to digest and sort out all these things out
hope that i can make it soon without serious problems, and please dont blame me as i am a noob too after mm![]()

so my guess is that the old kernel changes(S13PY) were merged to the new. As for wifi and bluetooth, from the description on this thread
so... it should work, only know by trying
I've been through a few roms since then and am now back on Android 10's Dr Ketan oneUI 2.5 rom so if you ended up deciding to continue with this kernel that would be great, I found AOSP roms not the best for covid as iris unlock is better than face unlock when wearing gloves lolthanks for your suggestion, mate
i will take a look at that, but i prefer to stay with sammy atm
thanks
