Well I'll surely be tempted to return to KitKat once we get stable builds. So I don't know what to do now! Maybe going back to 4.3 seems to be a better idea rather than going back to 4.1

And which Gapps do you suggest for 4.3?

I just tried flashing a 4.3 ROM zip and it failed. Do I need to go back to 2.3.6.0 recovery or what else can be the problem?
I was so goddamn close to going back to 4.1.2 a few weeks ago when I thought about all the crap I had to fix or deal with from 4.2 to 4.4.x and the pretty aweful 4.3 experience. Vanir finally got some updates out, got A.R.T. working again, added back in the nice features it's known for + new stuff like uksm. I've been running these nightlies modding crap loads of the system without many issues. The Vanir team finally put in some good effort for kk-Vanir and have successfully hacked it really stable. This is the Only reason I'm still on 4.4, and if/when it goes away, my 4.1.2 /system/vendor/firmware/ducati-m3.bin will join the rest of its extra-chromosome free, 4.1.2 family.
I don't know though, I think I'm gonna end up making a dual boot installation with a modified version of grarak's awesome multi-boot ramdisk for 4.4 and 4.1. Mainly because of SELinux issues or lack of support from kernel devs and then for some 4.1 kernel nostalgia as well. Performance and battery life are definitely at the top. I'm not sure how to go about making this dual boot though since one version will lack selinux support. I think this definitely has to be a multiboot with 1+ kernels involved, basically be like romswitcher except each rom also gets its own kernel. It would totally be feasible using an auto-(fastboot boot /data/../boot.img) scenario or something like mobile odin.
If you do end up trying out some 4.1 again, let us know what your setup is. I'd be using some Zenkernel or Popcorn. Lol I tried to anykernel flash popcorn kernel from 4.2 the other day. Didn't work though.

Was Stuck at google screen. I think I'm gonna try the Zenkernel though. That governor was so awesome.
