Moving to Note 3

For those AK team members, supporters and fiends still roaming this thread, I've moved on to the Note 3! My time here was incredible and the BEST XDA experience I have had to this point! The talent, the support and the genuine respect for what goes on here is due in part to Stefano's character and the type of folks who were the core people in this thread. I learned a TON of stuff here, and made some friends here.

My Gnex is now my backup in case I do something stupid with my Note, so I'll be checking in once in a while to see what's up and maybe drop the laetst KitKat on my Gnex JUST to enjoy flashing it one more time!

It was sad to see Stefano move on, and I'm more bummed than I thought I'd be now that I too am moving on. Look me up if you go the way of the Note 3!

Seems like he removed it bcuz it causes a black screen issue, it was because of it being the linaro version, I have it in my drop box if you would still like to have it

It's not 'goodbye' it's more like 'see ya later' because I will be checking in here and Slim from time to time to keep the GNex up to speed (just in case I blow up the Note 3)...

Hi there, that seems like a lot of work to just fix performance.

I believe the app "FSTRIM" works just the same, i think its called "Lag Fix" on google play, with a donate version.

I purchased it, totally worth that as it come with a schedule fstrim, i just trim it every night during sleep.

i was replying to someones signature, it was something about tricks and tips to fix lag on gnex

basically hes suggesting we make a back up, copy the back up to pc, wipe the device, and copy it back to device and restore.

isnt this the same as fstrim? to clean all the random data left on the sd card right?

i didnt mean to revive the thread, lol, i simply didnt look when i reply to his signature.

You were responding to my signature and no, wiping the device does not do that. Completely wiping all data on the sdcard is not done with fstrim, its kind of like using a defragment tool on your pc, that may clean up the leftovers but if you want a thorough cleaning you must wipe the whole partition and then re-add the data you wanted to save. Also, lagfix is unnecessary as of 4.3 regardless. In the future send a PM to me instead of bumping a dead thread without even quoting the person you are talking about. You just look crazy otherwise.
