i honestly don't know brother as I own a j500f.
But it seems that if you flash the mob data fix it should work with all TW Nougat kernels.
That's what I get from seeing all the comments across all the j5 forums over the past few months

Sadly it occurred multiple restart
V1.6 is good for me

The phone boots up for about 1 minute and hangs up with a subsequent reboot, and so every time..(J500h android 7.1.1. Kernel version 2.0) 1.6 works fine.

I tried flashing this kernel on J500F and I was using bootleggers pie, it did not work- got stuck on the boot logo (it wasn't even supposed to I guess)

Edit: My Bad it's only for 7.1.1

Well i'm using quasar kernel 1.6 from the sep unified build. Se enforcing. What are you complaining about?

Think about what you just said. You are in the j5 (2015) development section, meaning j500x, and you have a j510, that being a j5 (2016).

And the latest quasar kernel for your device is in the sep unified build.

before I flash this kernel (quasar v1.6) im install the gaming os rom and this rom running with quasar v1.6, then I flash dragon kernel v2 to get better performance but I don't get it so I think to going back with quasar v1.6 kernel but when I flash its show error 7 on twrp

Because like he said this isnt for your device!
This is for j5 2015 and you have j5 2016.
Go to j5 2016 quasar kernel thread not here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ent/kernel-quasar-kernel-v1-6-t3740626/page16

You cant just flash a file for a different device and expect it to work.
You need to flash files your specific device

Ok, well the kernel is in the boot.img inside your rom install zip. Thats standard for all roms
