I have some problem:
I have a Note (1) with a jelly bean custom rom installed (kobra mod)
I have tried to install Forest-HelloWorld-V2.0.0-extreme and V2.0.0-Ultimate but, in both case, when i reboot my phone, it remains blocked in a black screen. I was able to reboot my phone correctly (i have replaced 2.0.0. with HW 1.8.2)but i dont understand how I can install this new 2.0.0. HW on my phone.
Thx

you mean 706 postprobably. I saw already this post. You linked Kernel HW 2.0 and 1.9.1 OLED OC and not overclocked. But blobs for 2.0 is only r3p1 blobs that cause dark screen. Do you mean that i need to install V1. 9.1 blobs?

There is blobs for 200. when back tp 191 will need to flash the original one. Flash in recovery after kernel.

Flashed this Kernel works as described. However Hot Boot feature is broken now. Ends up in never ending boot animation.

I'm on [ROM][4.1.2][XXLSC][Build-3]"AmniX"-Xperia Note GT-N7000 TW Edition[Updated].

I have moved apps to SD card. Every time I boot my phone apps on SD card don't show up so I have to do Hot Boot to load apps correctly from SD card. But with Hot boot broken after this kernel I have to go back to old kernel.

Any fix for hot boot or solution to my problem?

I would repartition to get bigger data partition and forget about moving apps to sdcard.

@Lanchon 's IsoRec solution is very nice to help solve the incompatibility of recoveries of different n7000 kernels.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...t/isorec-isolated-recovery-galaxy-s2-t3291176
@bauner has applied this in his cm 13 kernels. Unfortunately, the current solution cannot be applied to older 4.1.2 kernels.

So I asked @Lanchon to help. Below is his suggestions:

ok. please DO NOT continue this conversation in private. post on appropriate thread instead.

it seems like no .rc is 'choosing' to boot recovery:
https://github.com/Forest1971/n7000-jb-initramfs/search?q=bootmode

it seems like your init binary is doing that:
$ strings init | grep bootmode
bootmode
ro.bootmode

you can:
a) modify the .rc files to load isorec recovery if needed. i wouldn't recommend this: your inits are already hairy.
b) create a replacement init script that loads isorec recovery if needed; else exec your current binary init. recommended option.
c) create a .cpio that nests you current .cpio and invokes it only if no isorec boot. this would be a completely generic one-size-fits-all solution for isorec, but it delays normal boot by copying the ramdrive around (normal CM kernel sort of does this).

i'm looking into maybe doing a new isorec v2 implementation. i can't do any of the above options for you unless i do v2 first. i can't help with 1) because i'm not very familiar with that init system.

These solution is beyond my capacity . So hopefully @Lanchon or someone can help make the magic again soon for 4.1.2 kernels!

Thank you!

Ok, never mind. I asked about this because i have installed kernel v2.0.1 and trim fix lag application (free version from play store). First two days all right; at the third day Note became heavy slowly. Now i have uninstalled laq fix trim and phone speed status seems regulary and normal. Some incompatibility? I dont know.

i have installed and run lagfixfree v1.5.1 from XDA and turn on logcat. no error is found. so it could be your rom or something else. should try again to see if it happen again. anyway i will watch it for few days.
