Xperia.V.TWRP.Kernel.9.0.1.D.0.10

A stock kernel which includes TWRP 2.3, is insecure and debuggable.

Based on the latest Ice Cream Sandwich firmware for the Sony Xperia V [LT25i - 9.0.1.D.0.10 / Nordic].

Prerequisites

Unlocked Bootloader
Flashtool

Changes

TWRP 2.3 Touch Recovery in kernel! [CWM 6.0.1.2 included in ROM / CWM Fix from the Xperia V ICS Supersport ROM thread]
ro.secure=0
ro.debuggable=1

Download / Install

Xperia.V.TWRP.Kernel.9.0.1.D.0.10
Once flashtool and your drivers are installed, power down your phone, hold the volume + button, and connect your phone to your machine, a blue led will be visible indicating a fasboot connection mode. In flashtool, select the lightening bolt icon, select fasboot, select the flash kernel option, find the .elf file you downloaded and select it. Flashtool will automatically apply the kernel to the phone.
or
navigate to the x10_flasher_lib folder (ensure your .elf file is copied to this location too), hold Shift + Right Click and click "open command window here"
Enter the following code in the command window
Code:
fastboot flash boot Xperia.V.TWRP.Kernel.9.0.1.D.0.10.elf
Enjoy! with Xperia V Supersport ICS

Entering Recovery

Press volume down to enter TWRP when pink LED is displayed
or wait and
Press volume + to enter CWM 6.0.1.2 when the blue LED is displayed [If you already have applied CWM via the root / windows method]

Credits

I have not developed this guys, im new to the kernel side of things, all this has been made possible thanks to championswimmer - TeamWin - FXP - Kali - Bin4ary and everyone else who spends a lot of hard time and effort into getting these things onto our devices. I merely used the guide posted in championswimmers thread to get this enabled for a stock ROM / Kernel.

I have only tested this on my Xperia V ICS Supersport ROM.

I used kernel.sin from 9.0.1.D.0.10 / Nordic.

The kitchen is great, but i found some issues when packing ramdisk. Take a look at my posts in the kitchen thread which will help in packing the ramdisk correctly.

You should then be able to create kernel.elf fine. Make sure the cmdline.txt is correct, use the one from any of the kernels posted here. :D.

Looks good, I did this myself too, but what about cwm? Only ramdisk needs to be edited for cwm right?
You need to copy zImage from the kernel you want to use (stock etc), and replace the TWRP one.
You also need to create a cpio archive from the contents of the ramdisk folder you want to use (stock etc), and use the new ramdisk.cpio and replace the TWRP ramdisk.cpio

does it work wit previous firmware 9.0.D.0.484 ?
I have not personally tested it.

I did use a .484 kernel with a .10 ROM. But not a .10 Kernel on a .484 firmware / ROM

If you want to test it, fastboot it, and let us know if it boots or not, if it does not work, just fasboot the .484 kernel back.

Regards

thank for helping me, the trick was to use option 4:4, instead of 4:3, now i have .10 and .484 kernels with twrp

i did what you said and i ended up with a bootloop, i think?
it starts up with the orange image of AOKP, a pink led light and then it just goes to black. after awhile it repeats that again
what have i done wrong? ><
I can reboot into twrp but i cant mount my usb for some reason.
