Running 13m... miserable score on antutu (approx 10000) odd... Others on the n4 seem to get close to 20k to 22k... what gives?

Running mp decision off, eco on, snake charmer on if that matters. Switching off eco registered minor +ive improvement
On carbon ROM 1,6

Anyone seeing "suspend_backoff" wakelock?
Wat is it and how can I trace it? I'm not using chrome. Or is this related to soc settings?

Yeah I got that too yesterday. Kept my phone awake for like 7 hours or something. Just finished charging my phone and hopefully it is gone. I'm just guessing it is a rogue app do a reboot should fix it temporarily anyways.

Something strange happened, just now got my N4 that was on the charger and open the Facebook app, the app crashed and reenter my account was lost, having to login again. I was using the app for about five minutes when I realized that the unit was very hot and open FauxClock noticed that the frequencies of the four cores were locked at 1.35 GHz, and restart the N4 to fix the problem. I have also noticed that when trying to load the machine off it will stay locked icon on the screen and the screen does not erase even removing the device from the charger. By linking the N4 noticed that the battery level was down to 90%, with prior informed that it was already loaded.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My statement was based on my personal understanding of what Faux and other knowledgeable members have stated in the past. If I am incorrect, please do educate us all on the proper answer. Otherwise STFU. :D

Some devs code their kernels to work well with benchmarks, Faux123 codes his to work well in real usage. The kernel is simply not falling for the benchmarks artificial load. If it's smooth for you, enjoy.

no dev here on xda(nexus forums) codes their kernels to specifically work well with benchmarks. your statement is not true. every kernel developer here wants the best user experience, great performance in benchmarks is just a by product. anyways, good benchmark scores also depend on how you set up your device and the rom that you are using.
