NOTICE: This is COMPATIBLE with ALL Google Rooted Stock and Custom ROMs based on JellyBean 4.2!

Just a statement regarding kernel source: The Kernel Source is of course covered under GPL version 2. Free software does NOT mean no work or time was spent working on it. I have donated a large sum of my free time to hack this kernel. If you use my modified kernel source in parts or in its entirety, I kindly ask you mention its origins and to send me a github pull request or PM whenever you find bugs or think you can help improve my kernel hack further. This way the entire community will truly benefit from the spirit of open source. Thank you ![/b][/center]
Anyone have download links are dead.

I am still using this Kernel since forever on my Nexus 4 reconverted as a dedicated DAP.
I only use it to play music to HiFi headphones.
The combination of this kernel and FauxSound do a wonderful job with the headphone amp and audio quality, and that's why I never updated it to more recent Android versions. In term of audio quality it beats all my other devices with more recent Android versions and even an iPhone 6+.

My nexus 4 runs the last KitKat Faux kernel version : 41m:

[email protected]:/ $ uname -a
Linux localhost 3.4.0-faux123-mako-custom-kk44 #369 SMP PREEMPT Sun Aug 3 01:41:16 CDT 2014 armv7l GNU/Linux
Faux kernels made the N4 history, no doubt.
For posterity and rare users that would want to install it, I made a TWRP backup of the boot partition:

mako-kk-kernel-041m-boot.img
md5sum: c88751fa5f18c717b7e8d5837dc7b7e5

To flash it:

- make sure your N4 runs a KitKat ROM. I'm using stock 4.4.4 KTU84P
- recommended: backup your boot partition with TWRP
- put N4 in fastboot mode
- use fastboot to flash image: fastboot flash boot mako-kk-kernel-041m-boot.img
=> reboot and if something goes wrong flash your boot partition backup.

FauxSound is still available on the Play Store.
FauxClock is not on the Play Store anymore but I have the paid APK. If you want it, send me a PM but it will work only if you have bought it in the past.
