I've been following Android for well over a year now. One thing I've noticed with the release of Gingerbread is the new .35 kernels being made. Didn't we have to used to wait for HTC to release such things?
Now I realize it's AOSP but still I remember CM6 not working right (ie Camcorder) until HTC released the source code. Developers are now making stable or at least semi stable builds.
Another example is now I'm reading of rumors of a .37 kernel?? Now we're right on par with desktop Linux!
