Anyone going to make a kernel for touchwiz. That's 2.1?

Eventually...yes, someone will. Is anyone currently? Who knows? Most developers keep to themselves until right before they're ready to release.

With Jelly Bean about to be released to our phones soon, some developers may be wanting to wait until then to begin working on a kernel because they don't want to create a kernel for a version that may become outdated very soon.

I asked this same question in q & a and the response i got was there are no tw kernel devs. So this phone is still gaining more attention so i think we should have some kernel devs soon.

I have noticed this with all my samsung phones. Kernels take a long time to perfect, and the only way to do that is to stick with one build, and just keep tweaking it. The problem is that Sprint and Samsung seem to constantly keep updating, and with every new build comes a new kernel. In order to update the kernel you have to wait for the source to be released, but by the time the source is released there is a new build coming out and everybody wants the new build. So if someone were to compile a kernel for touchwiz, but next week we get a leak for sprint jellybean rom or something, everybody would want that....so why waist the time trying to build a kernel when it will be outdated as soon as its released?
