haha thanks and no problems. it's super easier than i thought it'd be. now i just have to get my own kernel out there, once i figure it all out, lol
hopefully one of us will get a source built kernel,,, just a matter of time... can't wait :highfive:

yeah! :highfive:

I've got the cm10.1 kernel source, builds kernels, but for some reason it doesn't boot to recovery. i haven't logged it though, which i need to do.

i need to be able to cherry pick features for the kernel to though. just gotta figure out how

Cherry picking is easy but half the time they break you builds (this guy lol) just go to the source you want for example devil find the feature you want and put the stuff in the right locations then build there's million of guides out there

should totally check out smartgit ,,just be sure to choose the non-commercial during install
travp had made mention that it was THE choice for picking/building,,,

More than likely its just a kernel parameter or something for example all DT would have to do is add some little something and his kernel would allow up to 1.7ghz lol all cherry picks should be cross compatible unless it says its not

:::::::...Devil Kernel for 4.2.x Jellybean Builds...::::::::

from the hard work of Recognized Developer - DerTeufel1980
and his ...HellyBean Thread..... HellyBean Change Log

I have only put this into a standalone flashable .zip package ... Enjoy

I take no responsibility if it messes anything up,,,, these work for me or I dont post them ,,, ,,,, make backups,,,, nandroids,,, whatever you favorite choice is...
be prepared to potentially wipe, if it wont boot and you can get back into recovery,,, but worst case scenario you will have to ODIN back to stock EH03 and start fresh ...

4.2,,, 4.2.1,,, 4.2.2
Kernels are interchangeable across these ROMs
So feel free to mix & match

Preferred method of installation:
from Recovery
wipe Dalvik and Cache partition
Install Zip
Reboot
Enjoy

Currently these Kernels work with all 4.2.1 & 4.2.2 versions ::

:: CM10.1 nightly::
:: BAKED blackbean-8::
:: AOKP PUB :: Thread Link
:: CM10.1 JELLYBRO (makelegs_Euroskank ) ::
:: ParanoidAndroid AOSPA 3+ ::
:::[AOKP 4.2.2] [MR1Build5] [UNOFFICIAL]::
:::[4.2.2] Avatar ROM for Samsung Fascinate :::

plus the new ported ROMs from unjustified dev
Slim
RemICS-JB
SuperNexus
Pac-Man
ChaOS
RootBox

Lets all Rom versions recovery boot into Devil Touch Recovery - including all other Devil Kernel tweaks with programs like the ones below

With some ROMs offering nightly builds sometimes these may not work with the newer nightly ROM builds, just depends on what gets changed.
Just head the warnings and be prepared for possible incompatibility.

I will work on having a current zip installable kernel available from the latest Hellybean Builds as DerTeufel1980 releases them

I have also put together some
"Return to original kernels"
aka: the included kernel from whichever ROM build you are on... and will attempt to label them accordingly
But,,, feel free to mix & match

Tweaks --- Over Clocking and Kernel Control Programs --

Please don't ask about " devil kernel manager"
but you could click here for more about Devil Kernel tweaks and apk's to download

>>>>> >>>> >>>

Please don't ask about " devil kernel manager" || it still doesn't like to work except for a few settings,,, like big mem, etc... ... ... ...
.......... I honestly just copy that section over into -- mctweaker init.d settings -- which carries all the other tweaks i need and use... And it works... see Below

As well as plenty other programs

"Devil Kernel Manager" does work ,,, Some setting, though, do not stick across a reboot
and

I prefer to Use

"mcTweaker ® root" program I can set pretty much all the stuff that "devil kernel config" would normally let you do,,, and scripts auto run on reboot
...only things I dont see with mctweaker are No :Ram Settings = Xl/Big Mem :: :: Live OC :: :: but it has a few other things you can tweak and set that I really like...

not to mention
"ROM Toolbox Lite " is excellent with the stuff available in it...

I also prefer to Use

Aokp Performance Settings - Standalone Version
http://d-h.st/eRG
PerformanceControl.apk

I also found this nice Lulzactive controls app
1: explains things better
2: offers quick access
3: from the developer

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tegrak.lulzactive

and these work great too:::
,,, I've personally tested all of them ,,,
available from the play store

Some don't offer full functionality and capability but do allow you to set most all settings offered

::: titanium tweaker :::: greenblob :::: nstools :::: Trickster Mod

My Personal Favorite Devil settings are

100 - Min
1300 - Max
Lulzactive - Governor
Zen - I/O Scheduler

and SD read ahead 1024

......................................................................................................................

Interested in more about :: schedulers and governors
here are some great links

HellyBean Change Log

These work fine on other 4.2 builds (aokp, baked, cm, jellybro, aospa, etc)

So feel free to mix & match
