Probably better to either fine tune your dish or go bigger. I'm using TV headen on the kiii now and it's a nightmare compared to the built-in android DTV app. Headen has no blind scan, you have to manually input ton's of transponders. Then send your channel list over to kodi. It sometimes sends 2 channels. Other times, the channel is completely ignored due to no PID or whatever. But, the channel works fine in android. So, IDK what's happening with that. But, "it is"!

Are you using TVHeadend server on Android or on a Linux build?

It might be hideous but it might work on the Kiii, where can I download the C400 DTV.apk?

I'll pull it for you and post later.

This is what we really need working on our boxes. Have TVHE on Coreelec and it's far better than those crappy DTV apps, just missing the Android apps.

KB-Cool said he's got tvheadend and he's not happy with it, says he only gets a couple of channels and has to install all the transponders by hand

I'm using it with Coreelec . Booting from SD card.
Can you give the link to the Coreelec for the Kiii, is it difficult to boot it from an SD card, have to press reset or something like that?

No, you'll make a bootable disk out of the .img file. Found Here, https://coreelec.org/#download. Then after you get that installed. Head over to Linuxsat and read this thread. Lots of good info and help. https://www.linuxsat-support.com/th...elec-pvu-core-for-k1-k2-k3-s905-912/?pageNo=1.

Works perfect for me on Coreelec.
Just wish it worked within Android.

help please

written with google translation;
I bought Mecool KIII Pro in the 3rd month of 2019, I did a proper search, without backup, I installed Malaysk_KIII_PRO_T2_S2_C_Android_7_1_28.07.2018_v_6_1_DTV, DTV did not work. I have searched and found the .img file of the software and installed it with the USB Burning Tools program ... DTV worked but DV3 S did not exist, I have DV3 T and DV3 C ... I am using DV3 C but the channel names are not showing. I got the KIII_PRO_AVL6862-ota-20190301.101936.V0213.zip software and the recovery.img file from the vendor but during the installation I cannot give error such as ERROR: 21 (signature not approved) and cannot load ... is there? or how should I follow a path? Help please, thank you.

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this KIII pro box but reading here on the forum I have seen that in the past there have been users who have complained about a synchronization problem between audio and video in HD channels with AC3 audio. I would like to know if this problem is still present or if it has been overcome with new firmware / software updates. If instead this problem is still present you can recommend another android box with dvb s2 / t2 that does not have these problems and that supports Cccam? what do you think of the FREESAT GTC? Thank you in advance for your help.

I haven't noticed any audio synch issues. As far as Freesat GTC? Mine sits next to the Kiii pro. Powered off. I don't even bother with it. Doesn't record, the remote control is terrible and the picture quality sucks. Your better off getting a Kiii pro and running both Android and Coreelec.

No DVB-S/S2 option after update

I have the problem after updating Mecool Kiii pro to new firmware KIII_PRO_AVL6862-NHG47L-20181221.165922.V0213. There isno DVB-S/S2 option in DTV, only DVB -/T2 and DVB-C. The box seems to work smoothly and the CPU temperanture is lower but no DVB-S/S2 function. I tried to update to KIII_PRO_AVL6862-NHG47L-20180908.182748.V0213 version over OTG USB flash drive but I got an error 3003 saying that I cannot update over newer build. I tried to do the same using USB Burning Tool but it cannot detect the box when I connect it to PC like the first time I used it to update. Maybe something changed with the new update. Is there any newer firmware to try to overwrite the current? Any solutions, ideas would be highly appreciated. I really need the DVB-S/S2 option in DTV.

You've probably already tried, I'd suggest doing a factory reset and then maybe flashing the KIII_PRO_AVL6862-NHG47L-20181221.165922.V0213 one more time followed by another factory reset

    Good morning at all.

First of all, I would like to thank the XDA forum, an important community in the Android world in general.

Today I write my first post to contribute to the development of this forum.

I'm a happy owner of the KIII pro, but I find it the overheating problem.

Here are the photos of my solution:

This is a SUNON fan at 3.8VDC whit 2 diodes in series.

The fan, in this condition is noiseless and the cover of the KIII pro is perfectly closed.

Range of temperature before this mod is 65-92°C
Range of temperature after this mod is 50-68°C

    I hope I was helpful

    My KIII pro woking with:
    04/2017 FW
    3.1.0.0 TWRP
    2/5/2017 DTV app

Thanks for all and have a nice day

    Nicola

PS: sorry for may strange english but I'm Italian :p

We can set TWRP to have backup !?

    yes
    1. Format USB flash drive in FAT32.
    2. Place recovery.img (see attachment below and unzip it) to the root of flash drive.
    3. Unplug power cord from TV box. Plug USB drive and the mouse.
    4. Press and hold with toothpick the hidden button in round hole in the bottom of the box.
    5. Plug in power while pressing that button.
    6. Release the button when logo appears.
    7. Choose language.
    8. Make backup of system and boot partitions with compression enabled.
    9. Reboot system. Find "TWRP" folder in your internal storage
