No DVB-S/S2 option after update

I did one factory reset with no success. I will try to do the factory reset again and repeat flashing via USB OTG. Can anyone confirm that DVB-S/S2 is present in KIII_PRO_AVL6862-NHG47L-20181221.165922.V0213 firmware and works properly?

Yes, I have KIII_PRO_AVL6862-NHG47L-20181221.165922.V0213 and everything works fine. Did you have an unofficial rom on it before you flashed the stock?

It became unresponsive, there was nothing, no even mecool logo, like it was bricked and then I updated it using the Amlogic USB Burning Tool. Update was fine except that I do not have DVB-S/S2 option anymore in DTV app.

Why would you update it? AFAIK there is nothing to be gained that the stock firmware doesn't already have. Anyways, you can try to load Coreelec and see if your tuner returns.

I managed to flash the KIII_PRO_AVL6862-ota-20180908.182748.V0213 firmware and everything is OK now. DVB-S/S2 option is back.
I found at one of the websites that published the information on the latest Mecool KIII Pro firmware that Mecool-kiii-pro-android-7-1-3gb-16gb-tv-box-firmware-update-20181221 is actually a firmware for Mecool KIII Pro products with single tuner only (DVB-T/T2 and DVB-C), and this is the reason I did not have a DVB-S/S2 option in Dtv app when I flashed it.
It would be nice if geekbuying could edit the info at their blog on 20181221 firmware and specify that it is for single tuner devices only, so that other people do not make the same mistake I did. They should also refer the customers to the KIII_PRO_AVL6862-ota-20180908.182748.V0213 firmware for dual tuner devices.

Btw, I have not noticed significant changes in the KIII_PRO_AVL6862-ota-20180908.182748.V0213 firmware so far, maybe the box is a little bit faster, CPU temperature insignificantly lower, faster changing of DVB-S/S2 and DVB-C channels and better picture (maybe they improved the codec), but all this might be my subjective impression and the fact the box is newly flashed and works better at the beginning. The appearance of red colour in satellite channels seems to be gone too.

I found a new Kiii 20190117 official FW last week online, has anyone tried it?

From what I googled the CDX is a sony tuner demodulator. The AVL is probably made buy Amlogic or AVlogic. IDK

No need to backup apps and settings, it's all there after the new start, except for the DTV settings and channels. It's obviously a newer DTV app because the new FW completely erases all the DTV settings and channels.
Everything's working fine and DTV is better, faster Blind Scan and subjectively quicker menu and channel change compared to before. The signal has improved too, but it could just be the weather today! I'll know more using it in a few days.

I updatet my software, but it didnt solved my problem. I finds only dvb-s2 channels, the dvb-s channel are not working. Is there a way to change the channel noumbers in the dvb-t channels? When i change the order of them i get 1 2 3 100 102... I would like 1 2 3 4 ...

Hi All Mecool Boxes Holders,
Yesterday, I had made a request to Pur-E2 Team to develop an Enigma2 Image for Mecool Devices (KI Pro, KII Pro & KIII Pro).
They have replied that in order to work on developing an image for these boxes they need to have the hardware for testing (because they can not work blindly) and also need sources (of drivers etc) for theses boxes.
In my view, sources are available in the form of CoreELEC and LibreELEC sources.
Now, the questions is of providing the hardware. I have two options in mind, which we may discuss in private if somebody is interested.

All suggestions are welcome.

the links at the greek forum are not listed properly, the 2019.03.01 definitely supports all three tuners S2/T2/C
In fact all official Kiii FW's naturally support all three tuners
I've got FW 2019.03.01 on my Kiii now and DTV S2/T2/C work flawlessly
Anyone with programming knowledge can download and check the FW 2019.03.01
