Kind of a noob question?

Okay so I'm not new to the modding scene at all, but I'm not a pro developer or anything, my question is what are the main differences between g935a and g935u also if i switch from A to U is the bootloader still locked and is getting root easier on U or the same as it is on A? Also is there anyway to get custom recovery on A or U? I have a G935A on baseband QC2. Sorry for dumb question Just needed to know.

Booltloaders are locked no Custom recovery

What about root? on U do you still have to eng boot root it or do they have a regular root?
