Its because I hacked the syscope In my ROM. Its nothing with wanam. You could even wipe and it will still say normal. :)
Way to go drake. Glad to see you are monitoring this thread. I'm another Kingo success story....rooted, SafeStrap installed, running Knoxraid v2.6.

New OTA lock this down?

Hey guys, was just about to start working on rooting my Note 3 last night, but received an OTA update, and now it keeps coming back with "ROOT Failed" "NotSupport." Anyone else having this issue now, or am I just being special?

Thanks for any help!

I did this exact same thing to mine. Here's how I fixed it. Follow http://rootzwiki.com/topic/110386-return-to-stock-mj5-works/ and flash the MJ5 firmware with odin (just do step 3). Once you get the MJ5 back on your phone download Kingo verson 1.1.8 found here: http://limelinx.com/bnpbm I pulled it off of their face book. 1.1.8 rooted my phone on the first try.

You need Kingo 1.1.8 to root the new update. Check in the software update thread for the link to download it.

Thanks guys! Was poking around and found a thread to downgrade to MJ5. Going to try the updated Kingo first, then downgrade if need be. Thanks again!!

Update: Kingo 1.1.8 worked! No need to downgrade (Thank God!) You guys are a life and hair saver.

Can you confirm 1.1.18 worked on NB4 without downgrade to MJ5?

1.1.8 Worked for NB4 - 1.2.0 Did Not

I can confirm it -- was trying (and failing) with the most recent version 1.2.0 -- saw this thread then hunted down a 1.1.8 version...and it worked

SM-N900A
Android 4.3 <-- I recently had an auto software upgrade...but I have no idea what it changed since it remained at 4.3 and the phone was NB4 when I got it (just a couple of days ago)

Could someone point me to where I could find 1.1.8? Another question, when i plug my device in, it shows the standard USB icon, but not the USB debugging icon. I know USB debugging is checked. Any ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind, I was able to find it in the software update thread. However, still not sure why I don't see the USB debugging icon.

EDIT2: Again, nevermind. Apparently there isn't a USB debugging icon like other Android devices? I was able to root using Kingo 1.1.8.

Glad you were able to get it to work. For future reference, under device info, tap the greyed out build number 7 times, then go back to your settings tab, and will see developer options.

Wow, so if I'm understanding all of the recent posts correctly; if you are on N900AUCUBNB4, you can use Kingo 1.1.8 and it will provide root without needing to downgrade to MJ5?

And once rooted, I again am to understand that this device will not allow for custom recovery nor custom kernel? (locked bootloader)?

Works on B4. Does not work on Kitkat

As far as custom recovery/kernel, no .. kingo does not do any of that. Just rooting

Also, I will note that once I used Kingo to root... I saw a new program called PP(japense char)(japenesechar) 1.7.2 . I'm thinking this might be the "camera" app that other Kingo users have noticed asks for root permission after rooting with Kingo. I saw this and was supicious, so I backed up and completely uninstalled this program using TitaniumBackup. It is not running nor active and my phone works juts fine rooted .. so I think this app is unnecessary and possibily even scammy. To each their own...
