The longer they use the same security, the more time we have to get through/around it. They will likely change it here and there just to keep up with keeping us out.

Just got my warranty replacement Note3 via USPS today... BMJ5 (4.3), sending the NC2 (4.4.2) back. First thing out of the box, Kingo 1.1.8 ran without a hitch and I got the one thing I missed the most -- Titanium Backup. For y'all still waiting on root 4.4.2 I wish you the best of luck. If you can stomach the process, maybe go for a warranty replacement and you might be as lucky as I was.

I went from a captivate to Xperia TL to Note 3 ... the only thing that made the TL tolerable was I could get rid of the stock B.S. ATT OS and install an international Sony/OS without the nasty bloatware. At least the note has the ability to disable software you don't want but some of it it still runs in the background. This is the sole reason I want root... I want the bloat ware gone.
Why would I take my faith away from the devs and do that lol what are we are here for if you will not support and encourage the devs. I updated and believe it or note I still think it was worth it. Now I just sit back and wait for the magic root buzz lol

Here here, I completely agree. I also assert my faith in the developers to solve this problem.

I have GN3 At&T 4.2.2 NC2 and I want root it so bad. I don't care about triping knocks and I'll be more than happy to see the counter 360X370 but have root access. So will kingo root work on my phone? Please let me know guys. Thanks

That was a very good idea. I tried to use that method and i wasnt so lucky they had sent me one on 4.4.2 and i was so sick bout it. I was gettign ready to root my device again was so happy bout it but had got disappointed in it.. i just hate all the ads that be popping up. I really wanted to root it for titanium backup and lucky patcher. I really dont want the phone anymore with being able to root it. Adaway is what i needing.

If everyone of us here just left AT&T and samsung and headed to another device/carrier, don't you think that would make a difference? It is OUR fault for sticking with them even though they're pushing us away. As for me, this is my last samsung device and AT&T contract. IF I ever wanted to buy a Samsung device (which I highly doubt after seeing all these sick phones that are coming out now a days) then it would be with Tmobile.

My wife tried the exchange method. She was told they only had kitkat phones because they ran out of mj5 from other people exchanging. Are there really that many people doing this?

Wouldn't change nothing but their hook n bait new plans they would come out with. They would just relax their standards and let anyone sign up for new plans these companies all work together in this bait n switch game

It's a mafia clan and I'm leaving all this bullsh!t behind. I believe it is my fault not theirs for sticking to their business. If they don't care about me then I don't see any reason for me to care. They're sitting there laughing at me insiting on using their service even though they're locking it down and controlling me. They never forced me to buy their sh!t. I just went to it myself and now I'm crying about it. Just doesn't make sense bro.

uh you could be a little more helpful to the community. Not everyone has the same page numbers as you. I for example display 200 posts a page, so sending me to page 25 isn't going to help. If you're trying to be helpful try to be complete.

Just got my note 3 a few days ago. It came with 4.3. I tried several times to root it using kingo 1.2.2 and it failed every attempt. After finding 1.1.8 i was able to successfully install root with 1 clickl.
For anyone needing the old version (version 1.1.8) of kingo.. no need to search for page 25.. (I dont even have a page 25).. here's the link.. http://www.mediafire.com/download/ubpss2sh2qrdwsq/android_root_v1.1.8.exe
