old thread, but curious...

how is the battery life for the dinc on kitkat?
Battery life is pretty subjective, my feeling would be that it is a lot better than stock Sense but not as good as CM7. (CM10.1 also had excellent battery life for me) The dinc isn't my primary phone anymore, and the family member who uses it always has a dead battery no matter what phone they have. Plus it's still got the original battery, so that's probably not what it used to be either. Standby battery life is very good, though it has already gotten stuck with a wakelock and drained the battery pretty quickly. We haven't seen that lately. The phone has to work harder to run kitkat, so heavy use should kill the battery quicker than it would have on CM7. But that was also true with CM10.1.

Seriously, Thanks for the reply. :)

My 4yr has been using my old dinc that I had stripped down for her use, and she's on a stock battery too. I can understand there being more of a drain, but teaching her about phone charging is a uphill battle. She's getting better at it though.

Sounds like I may just leave things be and just wait until I can give her my razr maxx xt912.

I was kinda bummed that you can't even install plex on the dinc.

Thanks again.
