I'd like to give feedback on bug #48:
I have Vodafone, provided by GMX/1&1 SIM - I run 01_09_2014 on my Defy. MMS sending does NOT work.
Interesting point: I could not save a manual APN entry to the DEFY. Whenever I entered the APN details an press "save", all data are lost and it jumps back to the APN-list.

My wife has a Defy with CM7, Vodafone by GMX/1&1 and with CM7 the SMS sending works perfectly without need of any manual adjustments.

Thanks!

Hendrik
Today again, I downloaded the latest MMS APN Setup of my provider. I entered these details in the APN setup.
When pushing "save changes" the edited APN is lost - it is not shown anymore and cannot be selected.

All APNs that come in the selection page for APNs do not work to send MMS.

I tried again with and active WIFI - it works - it can send MMS without any issue. But it can also be clearly seen that data transfer for this MMS runs throught WIFI - sind the data indicators in the top status bar come up, when sending the MMS.

I parallel I do run a Defy on CM7, same provider, same SIM card. It works without problems through standard mobile network - no WIFI required.

I do not give up hpoing that one day we can solve this in CM 11.

Thanks

Hendrik

This archive contain sdboot, only for test.
ramdisk to /system/bootstrap/2nd-boot/ramdisk
system.img to /sdcard/system.img
After reboot, android will start boot from sdcard (System.img already contain odexed cm11).
Recommended make backup and wipe dalvik-cache before palying with it. (Recovery not touched)
USB Mass Stroge will work too.

Thanks, Quarx! Should a gapps package be flashed afterwards?
EDIT: Never mind! It seems to be working fine, as if the system partition was in nand memory.

If you (NAND) were typing 12 million characters per second on your keyboard , were you slower or faster then your friend (SD Card), typing only 7 million characters per second? - Or did I miss your point?
Shouldn't it be that seven millions per second ( NAND ) is less than twelve millions per second ( microLSD )?
