Just need to know if this ROM is for MB525 or not? Thanks
yes.

FYI..these days only 2nd boot roms are created by developers which means applicable to both MB525 & MB526.

Is that distance important? Because I also had three orange plastic things and hadn't any idea where to place them in the device, so I left them out^^
I don't know if they're important, but I'll gladly give you my address in a PM and pay for shipping if you're willing to send them to me :p

Which core to choose ?

Hello,

I'd like to update my MB525 to KitKat.
At present, I'm under CM10 Android 4.1.2 (Core 2.6.32.9)
What do you advise: installing KitKat with kernel 2.6 or 3.0 ?

Tx !

Hey guys, I've finally been able to test @YetAnotherForumUser's script, and the attached safewipe.zip will wipe /data /cache and /system while leaving the bootmenu and recovery bits intact :)

You can use these to do a clean install, it's safer than the full wipe zip that we use around here (at least, I used to use it). Rebooting immediately after wiping will not lead to the phone being stuck on the Moto logo, Bootmenu and TWRP recovery will remain usable to flash ROMs etc.

Hey guys,

I installed 11/7 build .....
I am impressed with the progressive work by master quarx

Issue: no network signal.
There used to be a baseband switcher inside of the system settings which i use to get my preffered baseband in cm7, cm10, cm10.1, cm10.2 , etc

In this rom, there is no option to switch baseband.
I installed baseband switcher app, and it wasnt getting installed.
Any option to get my network to work fine?

Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

One more issue: launcher works fine without gapps.....after installing gapps, i am getting blank homescreen with just the notification bar.

Any solution?

Solution is at 3 pages ago , by atulclassic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47818491&postcount=546. Mount /system in recovery and then install BBS.

Camera isn't working yet, only preview not saving...

I have let say, a design problem, with pin window. The numbers are crowded at bottom , but is not something important.

Seems like there is a way to get Titanium Backup and Whatsapp running when on ART. It involves recompiling libart.so using @cernekee repo to build the lib with less restrictions. If anyone could compile it for the Defy, here are @luiseteyo's instructions to get the lib compiled. Maybe then we could make a flashable zip:

HOW TO GENERATE LIBART.SO FIX

1. thank cernekee for this. He has made an amazing job!
2. Apply the patch from cernekee's github to your AOSP tree
3. "make dex2oat" from the top level
4. The new file will show up in out/target/product/(your device's name)/system/lib/libart.so

system partition is full. Wipe everything, flash rom, boot, delete some stuff, flash gapps.

OK, I decided to take the plunk and give the 2.6 kernel version a try, but seems like I did something wrong.

I'm starting from Quarx's 2013/10/30 4.3 version, so I guessed I should upgrade TWRP as instructed in the first post. I downloaded update-recovery.zip, installed it and rebooted. However, TWRP's version stayed at 2.6.3.0. Since the updated version number isn't noted at the first post, I was wondering if anyone who had successfully installed 4.4 (and therefore upgraded TWRP as required) could pass me the right install instructions and the TWRP version I should end with.
