CM11: camera upside-down, no autofocus

hi there,

i bought a new defy+ beginning of this year. since updating it to CM11 the camera isn't working any longer (picture inverted/upside down, no autofocus). i first had installed the nighlty of 2015-01-21 and updated then to the version of 2015-02-28, but no difference. "a better camera" has also the same issue and google camera crashes immediately ...

any idea anyone?!

infos @Madakite

I've already achieved
Thanks
It is advisable to update via OTA?
Do not know if this already commented, but support OTG has or can be put?
Congr. friend . NO VIA OTA(cmupdater) there is danger to lost TWRP 2.8.0.0. If you have to update dnld the rom zip only,i suppose gapps is installed and then wipe ONLY cashe and dalvik and flash the rom, then reboot system.OTG supported and works also good on r/w mode, but you need a specilal cable named as otg cable(costs 3 euros on my country) and a usb stick or reader formated in FAT32.Take care, not connect a device that consums more than 100ma, max 120ma ,its dangerous to destroy the H/W.

EDIT: for OTG use the new version of ES file explorer and make the right configs.

Have a nice day

Thanks for the reply.
I do not detect none of the OTG cables to use either a USB flash drive with microUSB connector.
And I have the latest version of es_explorador.

@Madakite, Go to adjustments on ES, select the first option scroll down and check the USB plug-in message box, give more time to screen remain on and look what the phone says and confirm. If you really have the right OTG cable, not a usual one.If all ok disconect the otg first on adjustments/storage space on your phone and the remove the otg orherwise you have problem on rom? i dont know.Try another build, i am running now on 12/01/15 but you have try a newer than you running now.

when connecting the cable does not leave anything in the status bar and is not es explorador.
I'm with the last cm-11-20150307-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip
I'll do wipe data and cache and install again?

I have the EXACT same problem, since some months ago. And I'm sorry to say that it must be a hardware failure. In my case, even going back to stock, the image is opaque, impossible to auto focus and upside down. And in 720p video playback I can see really weird colours. So I guess there's no chance to fix that. I still couldn't figure out what was the cause tho. Don't even know if it is a camera module problem, or the chipset in the main board :(

My version cm-11-20150307-NIGHTLY
As i saw the usb stick is not recognized, may be depends on OTG USB CABLE or the sd card inserted
on usb stick is not formated on FAT32 ,i dond think that is a rom problem although i dint try in this build.Try to the 8/3 build if you are sure on previous.I attache some screen shots, one of them is the otg cable with usb stick and micro sd inserted on this.

Greetings
