Just as a very early ALPHA build, I have build OMNI ROM for i9000.

I have no idea yet about what works or not, I will leave that up to you to report.

ONLY flash if you know what you are doing.

Procedure:
-First separately flash 4.4 kernel (see download link below)
-Reboot recovery
-Format system/data/cache/android_secure from TWRP
-Flash ROM (see download link below)
-Reboot

I did not find a good gapps package yet, so that part is also untested.

Download:
http://www.xdafileserver.nl/index.php?dir=Samsung%2FGalaxy+S%2FMackayROM%2FKK

Code:
Omni codebase: https://github.com/omnirom/
Stock CM10.2 kernel: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_samsung_aries
Aries-common device tree: https://github.com/kasperhettinga/android_device_samsung_aries-common/tree/mackay-omni

AGAIN => THIS IS AN ALPHA BUILD. RUN AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Yes it boots. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. No apparent FC's. I tried some apps, added an email account, send some emails. So basic functionality seems to work. Didn't try anything else and won't be able to for the next 20h due to sleeping & working. If people are interested in testing, please do. Tomorrow I will look at reported bugs and see if I can work on them.

I don't think it's a good idea to upload a ROM without telling what works... I mean at least say if it boots properly ;)

I dont think its a bad idea.

Advises can be found on OP page, and feedbacks from users are always welcome to improve and increase ROM features and capabilities.

ONLY flash if you know what you are doing.

So youre NOT forced to install the ROM. Theres a lot of people out there waiting for this to happen, and for feel the taste of the brand new version of Android, which seems very promissing!!

I would like to encourage you to give to dev all deserved congrats!!

@kasper_h Congrats for your brilliant and endless work!!

:good:

Was not that bad. I've already went back to cm10.2 as there was alot of graphical gliches. But it is a really good start and could be almost used as daily driver :)
