I live on a Stone Hill.
okay i see whre you are coming from.

while there are people that love the current colour scheme, I find it hard to accept as my whites are still whites but my greys are tinted red. its really very annoying. I would really hope to change the colour back to the original.

the thing is I really love the features paranoid android provides but with its newest update it uses kma base so the colours are off and it pisses me off everytime i look at my phone :/

I just would like to know if there is a way to change the white balance back towards blue.

edit: i find itweird how there isnt any way to edit our screen's white balance.

Sent from my Xperia Z using XDA Free mobile app
I'm working on better colours, i already made some adjustments to tone down the red a bit.

Thats nice, you do this by trial and error? Or do you have some way to convert the hexes to readable color format?

And stock won't work, as all the sensors will be broken.
I've found a website which converts hexes to normal numbers.

But that doesn't help much, i still don't understand that display driver.

On the Nexus 4 you can adjust white balance, contrast and so on using 3 numbers in a known range, while on the Xperia Z you have to mess with so many lines of code.

Nevertheless i've just tried bumping blues and greens, and am currently running my kernel for testing.

I'll submit you a pull request when the colours are calibrated close to perfect.

Hi,

i was reading a lot about fotakernel recovery images in the past view days. I flashed twrp multirom recovery to fotakernel, but I cant figure out how to boot into a fotakernel recovery.
Im using KMA Kernel, is fotakernel recovery support deactivated here? If its activated, how can I boot into it? I just couldnt find the necessary information anywhere.

P.s: Im not searching for multirom recovery in particular, thats just an example.

All cm based kernel ramdisk is modded for fotakernel recovery like TWRP. You boot into recovery the same way as you do like how you boot into CWM(It replaces CWM.) If you are booting back into CWM, it means you didn't flash it correctly.

Make nandroid and try please. If no one has said it before in this thread, it most likely means no one tried and you'll be the first.
So backup your stuff and try, it might work (if you use the any kernel version) and to try is the only way to know

Go to Bootloader mode and flash a working kernel img ( extract from zip ) to boot.
fastboot flash boot kernel.img

This did it for me. From there I could get to a recovery and flash something else. Only rom it worked for me on is Paranoid Android 4.6 Beta 4 ( not 5 .. ), and AOKP

    Intro
I decided to split the kernel from the rom, as CM has now merged the kitkat blobs. So from now on I will only keep updating and building my custom kernel (which is a continuation from original KMA rom).

    Features
    - In sync with CAF
    - Latest blobs
    - Patched to latest 3.4.x version (source: kernel.org)
    - Build with sabermod 4.9 (Strict O3)
    - Lots of governors and schedulers to choose from
    - Powersuspend
    - Intelliplug hotplugging
    - Thermal control
    - Faux Sound Control
    - LUN support cdrom (mount phone image to pc)
    - Kernel tweaks
    - Double tap to wake
    - Undervolt support
    - 192mhz as lowest freq
    - Fastcharge
    - Kexec-hardboot

    What's new
    [22-10-2014]
    - For now only AOSP rom support
    - Remove optimize for size, so full O3 now
    - Include fixed libril for AOSP
    - Cleanup ramdisk

    [07-10-2014]
    - Fix RIL on stock?
    - Add fastcharge
    - Add kexec hardboot patch
    - Move to Anykernel2 (modified by me) permanently

    [02-10-2014]
    - Fix RIL data dropping
    - Fix permissions for new GPS blobs

    [29-09-2014]
    - Merge 3.4.104
    - Merge 10.5.1.A.0.283 kernel and blobs (now in one package, just flash over stock cm)

    [21-09-2014]
    - Merge CAF 1.43
    - SoundControl upstream patches
    - Updated sabermod toolchain

    Hi guys,

Ive been pretty busy lately with school.
I noticed the merge of 4.4 on official CM. This makes my rom kind of obsolete now. And because of limited time I decided to drop the rom and continue with the kernel only. So the next release will be a kernel only release ( of course a continuation of the current one )
    15
So you guys beat me to it. But yeah the new build is up, with full .230 kernel + source. Enjoy! If you encounter any bugs please report (afaik the google drain issue is still there)
If you appreciate my work please hit the thank button or make a small donation.

Im working on the .230 source. Need to fix some 200 merge conflicts first. Then need to test the blob part. I hope it will be done this week.

@thomas1991_12 btw.. i figured out why Google Play Services goes crazy and drains battery like hell:

It looks like the drain is triggered by the new libinversense_hal based sensors framework.

Switching back to DASH fixes the drain - no idea why, but my best guess would be that the libinversense_hal based sensors framework confuses the 'activity recognition' of google-play-services.
