yep, anything that works work kodi will work with spmc, plugins, custom build installers etc. eg if you find some instructions for installing an addon, if they're up to date instructions for the current version of kodi, then they'll work for the current version of spmc.

it is literally just kodi for android, except the kodi android developer didn't feel that he was being allowed to develop it how he felt it should be, so he took it and renamed it.
there's a difference of a couple of days between updates on the website and updates appearing on the play store. personally I'm quite happy using the play store version. Thanks
Do you recommend to install from Google Play or website?

I've been disappointed with KODI for the audio sync problems I have with DTS content. End up having to down mix to stereo.
Excited to hear about this SPMC. Any idea if sync issues are addressed? I'm pretty sure it's a known issue with KODI Android.
Either way, I'll be trying out SPMC tonight.
It's been about three weeks since I got my Shield TV. Everything's running as expected except Kodi.
There hasn't been a single day where I used it without crashing for once - more like freezing I had to force stop. But I force stop Kodi once and if it freezes the second time, I have to restart the whole system since force stop is not available...
Bottomline is that Kodi is glitchy af when played around via Nvidia Shiled android TV. Am I the only one with this opinion?
no, why? There has not been a stable Kodi release for a while. AFAIK SPMC has not been released with unstable (beta or RC) Kodi releases. The current stable Kodi release is still 16.1.Has development on SPMC ceased? Not been a release for 3 months.
Does anyone know how to fix the issue of SPMC exiting back to the home screen? I am using the SPMC app downloaded from Google Play
You need to download SPMC launcher version from the spmc website, put an auto launch spm file in your root directory and finally hide leanback launcher with an adb command. I would, just to be safe, also install nova launcher as a backup launcher.
