I have to say compared to most other tablets out there I'm suprised that such a powerful tablet has so little development compared to the previous versions of this device.. Why is that?
I'm glad you got one. Haven't had a chance to try your ROM yet, but couldn't live without it on my tf700 - I'm waiting to unlock mine until i get a dock and make sure I don't have any problems. My screen is loose in like 3 places so I'm on the fence about that too...And there I was thinking I had done pretty well. :cyclops:
Probably lack of devs owning one I would guess. Tbh after the TF700 probably not a lot of people wanted to trust Asus again.....
Its good but I prefer Roms based on stock aosp with theme engines and custom animations, my note 2 has so many Roms to choose fromAnd there I was thinking I had done pretty well. :cyclops:

My understanding is that the cm11 ROM is a preview and not stable yetwe got cm11, we got speedy CROMi-x what else you want?
you gonna flash different rom daily???????????????
are you even unlocked and rooted and installed recovery. If you don't plan on to, i suggest return this and get N7 or G Pad if quantity is what you wantMy understanding is that the cm11 ROM is a preview and not stable yet
Release date for Note 2 : Sept. 2012Its good but I prefer Roms based on stock aosp with theme engines and custom animations, my note 2 has so many Roms to choose from
I was unlocked and was running sdbags ROM but when I turned off my tablet after installing that it never turned back on so I'm apprehensive to root and install again, wasn't sure if it was rooting or hardware failure, I got this tablet because its killer hardware and a great deal, which is why I'm surprised by the lack of Dev support I thought this tablet would be far more popular, are you even unlocked and rooted and installed recovery. its because its not a huge jump for people coming from tf700I was unlocked and was running sdbags ROM but when I turned off my tablet after installing that it never turned back on so I'm apprehensive to root and install again, wasn't sure if it was rooting or hardware failure, I got this tablet because its killer hardware and a great deal, which is why I'm surprised by the lack of Dev support I thought this tablet would be far more popular,
I kinda figured I wasn't going to risk rooting again until there was a solid aosp ROM out there similar to what I'm running on my note 2
Well that is all due to the problems this tablet has with the dock connection and build quality of it.On my Droid 4 I have the choice between 5 or 6 roms and what am I running?
Modified stock... Why?
Because on each rom something is not working or buggy: keyboard or Bluetooth or docking support or auto rotation or......
Modding and tweaking the firmware designed for the specific hardware delivers by far the best results for me. But maybe that's just because I like things to work or I dislike to constantly troubleshoot essential functions.... Thank God for CROMi-X! That's all I need
I wouldn't say it necessarily looked dated. The simple reason is this tablet doesn't sell well. Its look is kinda dated, it's thick bezel, heavy, short battery. The strength of having a dock got tarnished by poor build quality of the dock. I got mine for $350 after rebate from tiger direct. I'm willing to overlook the short comings and focus on the awesome screen, the crazy fast Cpu, near stock android 4.3. I just hope KitKat will come. I don't care if there are custom ROMs. It is what it is.

I actually like the bezel, makes sure you can get a good grip on it with out accidentally touching the screenI wouldn't say it necessarily looked dated.
Me too. Device doesn't look dated at all IMO. Screen is gorgeous and that is what you use it for.I actually like the bezel, makes sure you can get a good grip on it with out accidentally touching the screen
I don't mean to pick on you specifically, but it always cracks me up to see critiques of tablets and the like when they mention appearance. Even CNet reviewers will write a paragraph or two about the product's appearance. Seriously?! It doesn't match your shoes, so you don't want to be seen using it?! How very superficially Apple of them. Its look is kinda dated, it's thick bezel, heavy, short battery.
