right but why you want the regular lapdock (save for price) escapes me. You'll have to hash together an extension cable because the ports will be flipped and backwards and like I said, preliminary mirroring for the ATRIX 4G is on our boards, if there is mirroring for the Atrix 2, I'd assume its on the A2 boards. The A2 and A4G aren't truly compatible though (different chips, etc.) so that's completely up to the cooks in the A2 forumsI am using the Atrix 2
The lapdock was $50 and I already flipped the ports, I am using the atrix 2 on the lapdock and webtop mode works fine, the only thing preventing me using it with mirror mode is the message that says "this device isnt optimized...."right but why you want the regular lapdock (save for price) escapes me. That's the incorrect cable, you need it to be micro HDMI and not micro USB.thought maybe this could help someone..
found this on ebay after lots of searching for the female micro type b cable..

i linked both the micro hdmi type d female to micro hdmi type d female coupler to which ill attach a micro hdmi type d male to hdmi male in addition to the micro usb cable, because, i do in fact want microusb to connect the keyboard and trackpad to a computer via usb. That's the incorrect cable, you need it to be micro HDMI and not micro USB.
Yes, this should work fine. Any hdmi device should play nice.I was guessing, with everything said here, it would be possible to connect my htc evo 4g THROUGH the laptop dock hdmi cable?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
