i'm running a Jelly Bean Rom and still have PRIMEKJ10 Bootloader... what are the benefits of updating the bootloader?

what's the benefits of updating the rom? same reason. for example, i ran into issues (loss of signal, unstable data connection) when updating to 4.0.3, while still running 4.0.2 bootloader.
