Does this erase the user data on my mobile?
My Device is XT1643.
i am on NPJ25.75-2.
I have locked bootloader.
Can I get Future OTAs?
To flash a ROM, you'll have to unlock the bootloader & that will erase all your user data !
If you are willing, lookup the steps to unlock bootloader on Motorola site

this was posted in the official lenovo forum by an mod. (translated from Russian)

"No. This is the official firmware, which is sewn without unlocking the bootloader."

and

"Select flashall.xml - this version of the firmware will save the user data in your device"(using rdslite)

kindly confirm

mentioned "Flashall.xml", uses "fastboot flash" commands. I dont think these commands will run on a locked bootloader. You'll have to unlock it & that will erase all userdata.
Though, once bootloader is unlocked you can skip "fastboot erase userdata" to avoid loosing your data

Other option to save userdata is "adb sideload"- but that requires suitable OTA zip file. This N ROM zip file cant be sideloaded on the soak N build.
Hope your confusion is cleared ?

AFAIK After you unlock data erases even without the fastboot erase command.
I have no idea if it's flash able in a locked bootloader though.

Can someone please post a device info screenshot? I have a G4 Plus (XT1644 64Gb/4Gb RAM variant) purchased in the United States (though I'm not in the United States anymore) and would love to know if this image is RETUS. Thanks in advance.

So we could flash this over the first soak ? I mean flash it via adb without unlocking bootloader and loosing our warranty ?

comands shold be little bit different, system image in one file, there no "system.img_sparsechunk.0...1...2...3"...etc.
There "Flashall.bat" inside. You can run it to falsh.
Thanks I'll check and report here.

Flashing the stock N ROM over an N official ROM (OTA) may not work as the firmware looks for MM system files.

If you try, you may get a Preflash Validation error.

You can flash it. I just did and everything runs perfect.

Download and unzip the file, place in advance folder, run the flashall.bat command. It should flash without any issues.

Wow , thanks ! Also tell me whether my data will be deleted or will it remain ?
Skip the line fastboot erase userdata and it will not erase your datae

EDIT: sorry didn't see the links. It says data is preserved so should work

Otherwise you can fastboot flash and skip the line I mentioned earlier
