Fantastic launcher! It works really great, you did a great job. The only thing that I am missing is weather widget, like in Rootless Pixel Launcher. It just shows date, but no weather, and when I switch to rootless pixel launcher, weather widget works (android 6). Everything else is perfect!

the same thing happens, I,m using on my Note 5 android 7.0

I guess the weather workaround is not present. A dev has to choose between weather and having a sane package name.

This is a great launcher, but it needs a few things to really stand out.

-hidden apps folder
-quick scroll alphabetical bar in apps list
-change icons individually
-ability to click the clock to open an app (custom alarm app)
-remove text from icons
-custom sorting in apps list
-hide status bar
-gestures

Import setup from Evie

How can I import my setup from Evie launcher? Thanks.

Hi Everyone!

You might know my name as the developer helping Amir Zaidi to get his Rootless Pixel Launcher to work. And now before you start spamming stuff like "you just copied amir", "kanger" or whatever the **** you are tempted to comment right now, let me get this straight, when I started to talk with Amir and we both helped out each other we both were working on our implementations already and Lawnchair was a fully working launcher already.

So, how do I install this baby?

Instead of explaining it again myself and typing it all down I'll let Gadget Hacks explain it to you.

Latest release can always be found here.

Feature List

  • Google Now Tab
  • Pixel Pill / Bar
  • Experimental Pixel Launcher features
  • Iconpack support
  • App renaming
  • App Hiding
  • Adaptive theming
  • App tray transparency
  • Changing Icon size
  • Changing grid size
  • Save scrolling position in apps tray
  • Notification badges (Enable Notification access for Lawnchair in settings to enable)

Have fun!

Changing appearance per icon, and gestures are in my backlog, clicking the clock to open the app is a feature I wanna use myself so that will come!
Icon texts can be removed by setting text color to transparent

Feature request
- Dark app drawer/ or an auto switch to dark/white drawer background based on day/night(time)
Question
- where to allow "lawnchair's notification access in settings"? I am on stock 7.0 (Moto g4 plus)

Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Dark mode is a planned feature for a future release

Unfortunately I do not know where the notification access setting is on moto, someone else needs to help here

How about changing the app icon size only in homescreen? Icons in homescreen is always bigger than the ones in the dock. I think it would be great if both will have the same size like in stock pixel launcher

I know this is probably a 'naughty' question but can you kindly give a rough timescale for Pixel 2, for those of us who find your work very exciting? Hours, days, weeks or months? ?
You should get a first taste of Pixel 2 features pretty soon ;)
