Don't spread FUD. Tillie has always been an anti-capitalist hacker, and their intentions have always been about freedom of information; they have always disclosed their hacks publicly on Twitter, so none of this is news.

The hacks have pretty much all been due to bad systems admin practices (default passwords, etc). Lawnchair has nothing to do with any of that.
Well, I didn't know any of that, first time I even heard the name Tillie Kottmann, hence why I asked all those questions. Also to see what other users who were unaware of this think. Hardly spreading "fud" when I'm only trying to get people's thoughts, perhaps from some who are more in-the-know like you. Also criminal activity is criminal activity, his intentions may be good (for now), but no predicting what he might do in the future... Hence why I'm sceptical of Lawnchair and the new developers at the moment, until more info comes out.

Hello, I have just installed Lawnchair for the first time on my device with Android 11, I installed the alpha build I downloaded from their telegram channel and set it as recent provider with Quickswitch. It is working well, except for small bugs. I notice that is not possible, for the time being, to customize the icons of the folders, which is quite important for me. Is this feature missing because it's an alpha build? It will be added in the future?

I have Lawnchair 2 10.0 Alpha 8 installed and I can't get the notification counter to work, only dots...
Surely it's a bug because the version that is downloaded from the playstore works well but does not support the gestures of Android 10...
Can anyone see the notification counter in this release (10.0 Alpha 8)?

is it so difficult to understand that obviously in the ALPHA notification number has NOT been implemented YET.
it is ALPHA. the playstore version is 2 years old abandoned software.

Sure I understand, but the option to show the counter is there and if it doesn't work you don't know if it's due to a launcher bug or something else...

1. If I click on the search bar (bubble?) it pulls up a search screen... how do I make the background dark and the text light on this screen? Or vice versa? Currently it's light background with grey text which is kinda hard to read..

2. How do I make it so the search finds apps on my device? Back on Stock with the real pixel launcher i could start typing "Pay" for example and it would find the PayPal app

So just tried v11 and it's still a bit too barebones for me. Though looking in the git repository it looks like a lot of the features I like will be in the next build.
Until then can I use v9 with android 11 ROMs? This is where I find it's getting a bit confusing. Are the new version numbers indicating the minimum android version or exact android version, i.e. is v9 to be used with at least android 9 or only android 9?

Just so you are aware, Tillie uses she/her pronouns.

Excuses in advance in case I am asking something really stupid of missed an obvious reference earlier in this thread: Where can I find APKs of the new Lawnchair 11/12 development? Or has everyone mentioning experience built them from the available sources?

I know this is probably a 'naughty' question but can you kindly give a rough timescale for Pixel 2, for those of us who find your work very exciting? Hours, days, weeks or months? ?
You should get a first taste of Pixel 2 features pretty soon ;)
