I used "X722_stable_20s_NoRoot_tora33.zip" ROM as my source for "Extract proprietary blobs" step and Adreno driver (a530_zap) files.

Great, let us know your findings! In order to build on my distro I had to downgrade both python (from v3 to v2) and 'curl' app. @slothdnk 's guide doesn't mention about picking patches which I did.

If there's a way to enable file logging (or logcat) for GPU and boot events that might help track if you face the same boot-time issue.

PC was acting up so didn't have time to set up a virtual linux machine to build it.

I've got 2x Xeon 8c*16t with 16GB of ram and a NVME SSD (Samsung 960EVO). I think it should be okay to build.
Internet connection is 200/20.

downloaded lineage-15.0-20171104-UNOFFICIAL-zl1.zip
extracted system.img and copied missing/different files from /etc/firmware (from my twrp backup, shop rom 5.8 20s i think) to /etc/firmware and /vendor/firmware
some files might be reduntant but thats shouldnt be a problem
then repacked the zip and installed it with twrp (gapps and supersu also)

and it booted

uploaded zip file to gdrive:

Nice! It takes 120GB-140 GB of storage with generous cache settings. Just you know to set enough space for partition.

Stock camera app starts but
Google Camera (by opengapps) is crashing with error:

Open Camera exception:

How do you see the development of a stable ROM with Lineage?

I'm thinking about buying my cell phone but the Chinese ROM does not convince me at all.

Maybe we should make a thread so that we get noticed by codeworx and other so that they can maybe help with bugs ?

Also, I've just installed the rim and it's very smooth. The same bugs as in LOS15 for X720 but I don't mind.

The only q I still have... How to remove the theme and get back to the stock Oreo theme ?

I know this is OT, but where did you ordered 720? I only found good price on banggood, but banggood does not have way around vat/customs.

On Aliexpress. Including DHL express shipping it was 199EUR. I paid 180 for the X722.
They declare it low value so you have to pay between 25-35 EUR in VAT here in Belgium.

I tested lineage 15 on the x722 by the link on the previous page and it works. The camera, mobile data works! Amazing. I hope we get more custom roms

How do you see the development of a stable ROM with Lineage?

I bought x722 as a Christmas gift, so I haven't used Lineage 15.0 as a daily driver, only quick test. My wife has x720 with Resurrection Remix which is also based on Lineage, no issues there.
You can't expect much from these cameras though. If you want the very best ROM selection and better camera/HW you could wait for Black Friday deals for OnePlus or such.

Awesome work, guys. Hopefully we'll get a decently stable version of LOS running soon, with camera functions, video camera working, etc. Even if battery life is bad on LOS, I'll take it. I'm so tired of eUI's stupid notification system and lack of nav bar lol.

After a lot of reading about rom cooking, system unpacking an repacking and thanks to the great work in this forum I've managed to cook the latest official LOS 14.1. for our device, the X722.

Everything that works on the X720 is working here.

You can download it from my Google Drive here.

I will also create a seperate thread so that we get noticed.

Have fun, finally we can use the damn phone as EUI is so pathetic that I learned to cook ROMS...

EDIT:
I must say that after using it for a while I found out that the device started slowing down. After investigating the settings for the kernel are set to the wrong governor.
You can fix this by installing magisk root and then installing kernel auditor and going to the CPU tab and setting the proper Mon and max frequency and changing the governor to on-demand

@soulaiman hmm i checked ali, but i was only looking for the pink/rose gold 6/64 version.

Anyway did you got qcom common dependency missing messages in breakfast and brunch steps? It builds even with these, but i'm curious if I was doing everything correctly and only lacking power or if set up something wrong.
Or did you not do new build, but only modified existing lineage os build zl1?

BTW i was trying to build with no tweaks in buildprop, just phone identification changed.
