Didn't get any reply so tried 213dpi myself. With rom toolbox get lots of FC's and bootloop. Changing it through build.prop manually, fc a couple of times, then tells me system.ui crashed. After that it runs, but i have no notification bar.

Yeah I've been trying to fix that, the error itself makes no sense, I think I'll see if I can rebuild it with the mdpi res from another version.

Unfortunately pushing other system.ui doesn't work, (even mauis ics build) I'm running a deodexed version btw..

Wish some of the apps in tablet mode could be forced to stay that way in phone mode. Gmail especially is so much better on our note in tablet mode.

I am not experiencing any SOD that many members are commenting. Maybe its because I flashed the repack from PC Odin (XP because W7 gave me an error) and not from the mobile Odin app. I did it from a fresh stock 2.3.6 without root or any custom kernel installed.

My procedure: Installed the "repack ics chinese" via Odin PC over a stock unrooted 2.3.6, then Gapps, triangle away, Nova, widget locker (ics), fixed video.apk and the other hundred apps without any problem. The repack came with root and CWR. A lot easier procedure than with previous phones (Locked MotoCraps).

Everything is working fine and I want to thank all the members for the "Free Android/Samsung Lesson" that this thread is. BTW, changing the DPI to 280 made the experience more "tablet" like than stock.

The only anoying thing is that after every reboot I get the "Optimizing x of 1xx apps" message and the reboot takes more time. Someone in this thread said that its normal with the last Gapps (with previous only happened the first time) and take their word. Now some other custom ROMs developers said that they removed the "bug" or "feature" in the change log. I don´t want reinstall everything just for this.

Any idea how to remove this message?

If you love the Jkay lock screen sliders I found this site where Nova Launcher is from. Widget locker is similar to AOSP deluxe lock screen plus more goodies from the site.Tested and working no problem on Chinese ICS leak rom

Only can use Latitude with GPS activated, in GB are different... maybe is a Bug? With GPS locate perfectly: Latitude, Twitter, Facebook, Weather...

for those who are experiencing SOD, i had around 8 SOD's yesterday morning (first ever!). I wiped cache, and dalvic cache and they stopped! Haven't got a single one over 24hours. Hopefully it help you guys also
