After all these years with Sprint and in all the sprint device forums, I've finally switched using the Tmob ETF buyout program. Of course, I picked up a Note 3 there.

For all the folks I've used their roms, kernels, etc, I thank you for all the years of Flashing fun!!!

Freeza, thanks for all the conversations and advice especially!!!!

Quick question, does T-Mobile do anything different with their bootloaders? (I.E locked or unlocked?)
And how much greener is the grass over there? :)

unlocked bootloaders.

And for me, the coverage is better and my 4g, I've hit 35mbps down vs the fastest I ever got with sprint at 5.....

Oh, and cheaper for me as well. No contract and I can get new phone every 6 months if I want.

So, (for me) the grass IS greener.

Way Out

I am contemplating switching 4 lines to Tmobile. Really i would consider sprint if they had good customer service and didnt lie to us about 4g rollouts (previously unfortunate photon owner, now on the note 3) and billing lies which has happened too many times. 13 years with them and i still get horrible customer service and billing discounts. I am at $258 per month on Sprint and they quoted me at ~$240 with the new "framily plan", if the phones are paid off on Tmo, ~170 for 4 lines. if not ~250 for the pay per month on 4 devices not including the $470 in device trade-ins. In all honesty tmo is pushing this hard and i feel that even if I did move to Tmo it would be justified more than sprint right now even if i did have to pay an extra 20 bucks.

See if the company you or your wife works for has discount and also check to see if your auto insurance has discount with TMob. AAA does too.

the company I work for got me 15%.

that's 15% off the plan, the data, etc, for ALL lines.

I was with sprint for 13 years as well with 3 lines.

Some folks have been getting extra freebies. One group got free cases and crap for switching.

I can't say LONG TERM how Tmob is as I haven't had issues yet or even the first bill.

I used the new Sprint One up program to get the note 3. Does T-Mobile help with paying off this phone I still owe or just the ETF?
