@pgibby081965: To change the color of something (handwritten notes or text drawn using the text drawing tool), choose a pencil of the desired color, activate `cutter´ mode, select the area in question, click on the `bucket´ icon in the lower left corner of the selection, choose the `color only non-zero alpha, keep alpha´ option in the dialog and click on `OK´.

Copy and pasting across note books

To copy one or more pages from one notebook to another, open the source notebook in notebook overview (either directly from the notebooks board by long-clicking on the notebook and selecting `Notebook overview´ in the popup menu, or by opening the notebook normally and selecting `Notebook overview´ in the main menu), click on the tag to activate tag mode and on the pages to be copied to tag them, and select `Copy tagged pages to clipboard´ in the main menu. Close the source notebook and open the target notebook in notebook overview and select `Paste pages from clipboard´ in the main menu. To rearrange pages, click-and-drag them to the desired location.

Hi
Great App, use it all the time. I am using the Lenovo Thinkpad and want to know how to activate the tag mode to select multiple pages. Also is there a way of creating a copy of a notebook and finally how do I add some space between old notes (instead of adding a new page in the middle).

thankyou

@KhurramHumayun: 1. To tag pages, open the notebook in notebook overview, as I describe in my post: Either directly from the notebooks board by long-clicking on the notebook and selecting `Notebook overview´ in the popup menu, or by opening the notebook normally and selecting `Notebook overview´ in the main menu

2. Long-click on the notebook on the notebooks board and select `Duplicate notebook´ or `Copy notebook´ in the popup menu.

3. Use the corresponding items in the hand menu to insert a page before or after the current page.

tegra note

Hi acadoid,
had this app on my note 10.1. loved it sooo much, definitely helped me study for my quantum mechanics exam.
That device got stolen, and i am looking for something different since my needs have changed: have you had the chance to test how this app works with the Nvidia tegra note?
Thanks, nicola

@nicmazza87: Sorry to hear about the lost device.

LectureNotes will work on an Nvidia Tegra Note; I have not yet received a confirmation that the stylus works for this device with `use stylus (hardware detection)´ enabled, but I do not see why it should not. If you get the device, I would appreciate if you told me whether the stylus works or not.

@drleni: You can choose in the Evernote export setup whether recordings should be included when you export a notebook to Evernote.

To manually upload a single audio recordings, open the notebook in notebook replay and share the recording, the Evernote app should show up as recipient.

All of my recordings are about 30 minutes long and are being cut off. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change to allow longer recordings?

@N3WPV: I am sorry to hear about the problem. LectureRecordings request an unlimited recording duration with the Android Media Recorder, but for unknown reasons, some devices ignore that and stop the recording at around 30 minutes. If you are using LectureRecordings to record audio while taking notes with LectureNotes, there is an option `auto-restart recordings´ in the app's extensions settings; with that enabled, the recording gets automatically restarted after around 25 minutes, thereby avoiding the problem. In notebook replay, you can enable `combine recordings´ in the main menu, then the next recording gets automatically started when the current one finishes.

I have the EVGA Nvidia Tegra Note 7. Lecture Notes works well except for the pressure sensitivity. Even flipping the stylus over to use the rubber back end of it as an eraser works.

If you want more details, reply to my post here and I will do whatever testing you'd like.

Moving the thread + S-Note migration

Hi,

I have a suggestion and a question:

Let's move this thread to a proper place in the forum. (like android general - apps or smthng like that)

The application is fabulous, it should be easier for forum users to find this thread under a general forum link. (with a nice thread subject as well)

Coming to my question, what are the migration options from- and to S-Note? How should I import my S-Notes to Lecture Notes and vice versa? Should I expect any losses/casualties both in content and form?

Thanks alot!

to @acadoid 's attention, the great developer...

The app is great, especially its ability to create a widget from a page. Its one of the features i loved in Snote that they removed in the new Snote in Note 3.

Is there a way, however to make the strokes a little softer. When i compare strokes with Snote, lecture notes seems to produce a bit jagged lines, as if im really writing in a digital tablet and not a real notebook. Is there also a way to increase line thickness?

Thanks!

Few apps are as adjustable as LectureNotes, Open the pen box and you have a whole lot of pre-installed pens, there are also small, medium and thick settings and if that isn't enough you can long tap for a dialog box that will let you set the strokes to a single pixel.

@aresinuae: The standard pencils come in several thicknesses. Note that there is an option in the handling settings that makes all standard pencils thicker, in case you prefer that.

On Samsung devices with S-pen, I recommend to enable the pressure filter in the filter setup in the app's input settings, with a threshold of 5% or so (whether you enable `enforce lifting´ is a matter of taste, most users disable that).

Thanks a lot for the tips, will continue exploring the app!

always save note

Hi,
Everytime I read a note when I exit without changing anything lecturenotes saves the note. Since I am using the sort by last change date, this note becomes the first one. Is there any option to do not save if I am just reading it!

Thanks

@IguanaBikeRider: LectureNotes stores the changes when you scroll, change `fit width´ to `fit height´, change zoom level, etc. In this sense, the notebook has changed after scrolling, even though you did not write or erase anything. To have a kind of `open read-only´ is on my agenda. What you can do in the meanwhile: If you have notebooks that you do not change anymore and in which you only read, export these notebooks to PDF and open the PDF file for reading.
