@stbxxl: OK, now I understand. Scroll to the page, choose `Index page X´ (where `X´ indicates the page number) in the main menu. and just delete the keyword in the upcoming dialog. In case you do not remember the page anymore, choose `Notebook index´ in the main menu, it will display which pages carry keywords.

Thanks! That worked.

Dear Markus,

Thanks for the great app.The functionality you have already built in is impressive, and your responsiveness makes this the note-taking app with the greatest potential in my view.

One thing that is missing, however, is the option of having a magnified area for writing in, as currently implemented by most other note apps. Is there any chance this might be added to Lecture Notes?

@evlado: Many thanks, I am glad to hear that you like the app. The app presently follows a different approach, zoom and auto-forward mechanism, which at least I personally find better. Nevertheless, I have such input area on my to-do-list. But LectureNotes' users are quite innovative in suggesting new features, so that my to-do-list is quite long, and I have to ask you for some patience.

Many thanks Markus. Look forward to its ongoing evolution

I love the app, use it every day. Just bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 and it works just fine with that device as well.

Hows the galaxy note 10.1 built in writing app?

This software is great for the most part, however I wish it had text input or pen conversion function built in.

The somewhat deal breaker for me is no audio recording, I'd purchase this in a heart beat if you could just record my lectures.

@hasseye and all others that requested audio recording: I just uploaded v1.16 of LectureNotes into Google Play which (among other new features) allows to record audio while taking notes and to replay it later on. Note that audio recording and replaying requires LectureRecordings (a new non-free app) to be installed. LectureRecordings can be used on its own as a standard audio recorder, but it is better used from LectureNotes as a backend, as during recording, the position in the notebook at which you write is recorded as well, and during replay, your notebook will be scrolled to the position at which you wrote at that given moment.

Galaxy Note 10.1 user here: Any possible support of share to Dropbox in PDF format as opposed to PNG?

NEVERMIND!

I see the settings where if I disable "OPEN" I can change it to "SHARE".

The only two things I wish for are:

1. The ability to set custom paper via a path and not js
2. Keyboard use to use HWR sometimes.

Really love app and recommend it to everyone.

You should let folks on the Galaxy Note forum know about your app.

@crazeco: Yes, if you wish to directly share the PDF, choose `Share PDF file after export´ (or choose `View PDF file after export´ and share from the PDF viewer).

@toenail_flicker: 1. I guess that with `the ability to set custom paper via a path and not js´ you refer to the possibility to set a PNG/JPEG as background, right? This is on my to-do-list and will be added soon. 2. To improve with respect to typing notes is on my agenda, but this is not trivial, so that I have to ask you for some patience.

Acadoid. This software rocks. I used it yesterday for a 5 hour deposition including sound. I used it on both the Note 10.1 and Think pad Tablet when my battery died on my note.

Using LN with the Galaxy Note, I am offered the option from the screen (from stylus) to import, but can't paste it once in LN. It keeps pasting my previous capture in LN. What am I missing in the process, please? Thanks.

@toenail_flicker: Sorry, I do not understand, what steps do you do? In any case, when you choose `Paste from clipboard´ in the cutter menu, the last image object that got placed on the clipboard (placed there either by LectureNotes or by another app) will be paste; image import (or PDF import) is independent from that, the clipboard is not involved in this case.

@acadoid

Greetings Markus,

Still loving your app. However I have recently noticed that hiding the system status bar in Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean does not seem to work at all. I know the method is rather abrasive on Android 4.0+. When enabled in Jelly Bean, the Superuser prompt just comes up repeatedly asking for permission no matter how many times you click allow. Since this is more of a hack than feature on Android 4.0+ I've been brainstorming other solutions.

With that in mind, I was wondering if it would be possible flip menu bar 180 degrees and put it by the system bar? This in combination with the Notebook content relative orientation setting, set to Flip would make it look like this: Lecture Notes mock up. I realize this is somewhat awkward because the app would essentially be upside down but it I think it could be beneficial as it would prevent any accidental hitting of the system bar.

Another solution I thought of (in combination with the Notebook content relative orientation set to Flip and an option to have the menu bar completely hidden) would be to allow more customizable options via the toolbox. Here is a picture depicting what I am referring to.

Thanks again Markus! Your app and your constant development is truly amazing.

EDIT: Sorry for my quick Gimp editing but was merely trying to get my point across :) Easier via pictures. Also, I think the 2nd solution would be the better of the two, simply because it adds additional features that others could use even if they don't use this type of layout.

@obscure.detour: The only possibility known at the moment to hide the system bar in Android 4 is not particularly elegant, it is based on constantly killing a process. In Android 3, it was sufficient to stop a service, but Google closed this path in Android 4.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to place the action bar and system bar at arbitrary places (I could code my own action bar class, but this would be a lot of work). The only thing that can be done is to rotate the notebook content, which allows effectively to place action and system bar at the sides. Or, you can flip the notebook content and hide the action bar, but I agree that this requires to add more actions to the toolbox, which is an interesting idea, I noted that down.

I finally got it to work. Hard to know why it wouldn't work at first.

Is there a way to resize images to fit the page? Also, I need to control aspect ratio. Your app is the best I've tried. Thank you.

@toenail_flicker: When inserting a single image (or a single page of a PDF file), you can move and resize it so that it fits the whole page, but the aspect ratio is kept fixed. An alternative is to put the image (or several images) in a ZIP file and import the ZIP file (the image set) as new pages in notebook overview (likewise, you can import all pages of a PDF file). In this case, you can set in the app's settings margins and whether aspect ratio is kept fixed.

Yeah I figured having the action bar and system bar together would be difficult to implement and probably not worth it.

However, I do like the idea of hiding the action bar completely and having the "3-dot overlay" become active on either the system bar (or in the toolbox)? And also more toolbox actions like you said and my bad paint skills indicated.

Thanks again for all your work :)
