@vgergo: 1. When you long-click on the `time stamp´, you can choose the time-stamp format and whether or not the time-stamp overrides an existing name; disable the latter, and the time-stamp will be inserted.

2. The two problems that you observe are connected. It is difficult to see in the video, is the line displayed above or below the S-pen position?

However, I cannot reproduce the problem on my Samsung Note 10.1, the line appears correctly even if I initially hide the action bar.

One thing that you could try is to reboot the device. It might sound strange, but it occasionally helps In case of `mysterious´ problems.

Genious! I never knew this

The line is below the pen. As for reboot, LN has acted like that for weeks. I restart my phone almost daily, it doesn't help :(

Complementary color?

Hi,

Loving this app and its just getting better as the months go by! On the latest update, one of the updates mentioned is "pick complementary color from notebook page added" - how is this done? I've searched around in the app but can't find it.http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

Thanks,

Phil

Hi.

Just wondering if it's possible to reorder the items on a top tool bar?

Thanks,

Phil

@vgergo: I checked the code, the only explanation concerning the action bar problem seems to be a raze condition between two processes. As I wrote, I do not observe the problem on my test devices. Would you be willing to test this hypothesis on your device? If so, contact me by email and I would send the APK of the trial version (to avoid interference with your full version) to you.
@pgibby081965: Picking the complementary color works as picking the color: If you have choose a custom pencil, there is an item `pick complementary color´ in the pencil menu; select it, then click on a location in the notebook.

No, it is not (yet) possible to reorder the icons in the action bar. In case space is an issue: Note that you can select `narrow icons´ in the app's menu settings, then the icons are more densely packed.

Hi Acadoid,

A question concerning purchase without play and amazon market. I live in China and recently bought a note 3. I would like to install lecturenotes on it but no market to install it from except black markets but that is out of the question for me.

I have your purchased soft running on my Transformer TF101 for daily use, really super app!!! Hope some suggestions or alternative ways to install to the note 3 can be given.

Many thanks in advance!!

@Chinaboy5216: At the moment, I distribute only via Google Play and Amazon. Isn't the Amazon app store available in China?

What is the biggest app store in China? Or, alternatively, the one with the largest collection of non-Chinese apps? I guess distribution in any of these app stores requires a Chinese localization, doesn't it?

Hi Acadoid,

Amazon, need to check (good idea!!). Posting on Chinese stores I would not do, localization is needed and the "copy/paste" idea is enormous here.
As you presumed I guess I am not a Chinese but an expatriate working in China :)

Thx for the feedback!!

@Chinaboy5216: I see. I am not sure whether this is an option for you, but non-free apps are available in Hong Kong via Google Play.
HK is also no option :( but amazon might work, at least I have access to it :).

Thx acadoid, it's just I love lecturenotes on my tf101 and want to be able to exchange notes between the TF and the note 3.

Thx for all your great work!!

@Chinaboy5216: Even though LectureNotes usage of many individual files to store notebook pages is ideal for syncing your notes, LectureNotes does not directly sync devices. But this can easily be achieved by syncing LectureNotes' app directory on each device with a cloud service (for instance using apps such as FolderSync), in this way, you automatically sync the devices. A large fraction of LectureNotes users has in fact multiple devices and does syncing in this way.

Easy way to add a coloured text box?

Hi. I was wondering what the easiest way is to insert a coloured text box? Currently I am doing the following:

1) Insert typed text using tool from box - dragging box to increase size of box accordingly.

2) On separate part of page, creating a coloured rectangle at the correct size.

3) Selecting and then dragging my text over to the rectangle.

4) Selecting the whole lot and dragging it to the desired place.

There's surely got to be an easier way! I've tried using the cutter to select the typed text but can't see which option I'd use to then fill the selection but leave the text on top. I'm sure I'm missing the obvious here! I use coloured text boxes to help certain text stand out - titles, names etc.

Thanks for any help!

Phil

@pgibby081965: You can not directly color the box background when you use the text drawing tool. It is an interesting idea, however, it would require to have two active colors, the one for the background and the one of the foreground (text), and there is currently only one active color in LectureNotes. Let me think a moment about it.

automatic exporting of notes / windows app?

hi there,

Sorry if this has been asked already...

First off - great app - LectureNotes is awesome.

I'd like to sync my LectureNotes files to the cloud - looks like FolderSync will do the trick. 2 quick Qs:
* Can i get LectureNotes to automatically export PDFs of my notebooks? Can these be exported on regular intervals / when notebooks change?
* is there a Windows app that can convert LectureNotes files to a single image / PDF? So if the above doesn't work can I still get access to my notes when I don't have my tablet?

thanks!

@snappple: 1. There is a semi-automatic export to PDF, select `export notebooks board to PDF´ and choose `modified notebooks only´ in the dialog. To allow for a fully automatic export to PDF is on my agenda.

2. No, I am not aware of such tool.

Am I stupid or is it not possible to import multiple PDF into an existing notebook?

BTW does anyone have a source for a cheap replacement for the ntrig pen for the ThinkPad tablet?

@DeucesAx: To import multiple pages of a PDF file at once, open your notebook in notebook overview (either directly from the notebooks board by a long-click and selecting `Notebook overview´ in the popup, or by opening the notebook normally and selecting `Notebook overview´ in the main menu) and select `Import PDF as new pages´ in the main menu. To create a new notebook based on a PDF file, select `Import PDF as new notebook´ in the notebooks board main menu. An alternative is to open (or to share) the PDF file and select LectureNotes in the list of viewer (or receiver) apps, then LectureNotes will ask you how you wish to import the PDF file. The resolution, margins, and alignment can be be adjusted in the app's import settings. In particular, note the toggle `auto-rotate´; with this enabled, LectureNotes rotates the imported PDF pages if this makes it fit better on the page (meaning they can be scaled larger).

Thanks

Hi folks,

I am the author of LectureNotes, I was glad to read that the app is useful for you. Sorry for joining this forum and this thread so late, but I learned only very recently that there are couple of forum threads related to LectureNotes.

Note that I uploaded v1.12.2 today with a couple of minor additions, the most important one probably being the possibility to choose the directory where the app stores your notebooks.

Best regards,
Markus
2 years already I've been using Lecture Notes and I'm still in love. Thank you

@Gadris2: Many thanks, I am glad to hear that. Times flies...

I just uploaded v2.4.9 into the app stores; the major changes are the Korean localization (third largest user proportion after English and German, further localizations will follow in order of user proportion) and export to OneNote.

paging horizontally?

hi there,

LectureNotes is configured with continuous scrolling - so the top of page 2 is below the bottom of page 1.

Can I configure the view so that pages are side-by-side? So if i swipe left, I go to the next page?

thanks!
